Think you're right. Always the worry for us in this situation. Having said that, activity in last fews mins has just pepped up a bit!
Think your right.
Fizzled out as soon as it looks like hitting us.
The blob coming off Belgium has also started to loose ompf..
What will be will be I suppose.
Temps plummeting here now -2.9c.

I’d take those with a pinch of salt. There is defo something in the North Sea heading our way. Looks it anyway. Best to check radar and window!
Agree
Radar is our friend tonight.
Apps are useless as well.
North sea defo starting its Engine to my eye.

This is definitely the feature most interesting me at the moment. We get some sort of convergence around that sort of line between 7-9pm initially on the Euro4 modelling of this:
This then fades for a while before returning in the early hours
This has been there on the last couple of runs, although it could well be gone again come the 12z. I suspect the radar will look significantly less dry than that too in reality
I was just gonna say it's looking a bit stingy unless of course we all live under that line..

I reckon I've seen the best of this latest snowy spell.
Not really expecting a lot more other than a few flurries.
Today has been grey wth light flurries on and off
Top temp was -1.4
Currently -1.9
Grey skies , biting wind.
All my snow from yesterday intact

Be delighted if it were to happen..

BBC, Meto and Euro 4 all looking like 5pm onwards a build up of accumulations.
I would expect 10cm for some of us overnight, though it really will be the last gasp of this event.
Possibility of a few streamers Weds afternoon in S.E if you go by Meto.

Huge band coming off the continent, should be here around 4/5
I'm also following that band.
It disappears of Radar but should pop up on ours in like you said 4 , 5 hrs.

I am trying to fathom how at the moment my location ends up with close to 20cm of snow by the close of play (Some point on Wednesday). No real sign of anything making it this far with sufficient intensity at the moment.
I'll take that 7cm added to the 15 I have already..

Fab! Same here. Lovely to watch! Met seems to think more heavier stuff later. Who knows!
Really hope so.
Wife keeps asking where are the big beefy flakes.
Trying to explain the air is very cold and dry , hence small flakes..
If we get some good old n sea convection then we should see some bigger stuff today but I'm happy as things stand.
Good dollop of snow in the garden and still snowing .
Plus it's not going anywhere soon looking at temps for the nxt several days or further..
Temp currently -1.8c
Low last night was -2.1c
So were good..
Wth no sun today there be no melt either..

yep it’s moderate I’d say here now. Meant to be in and off all day!! Say I’ve got 8-9cm now in areas where it laid right away yesterday!
Haven't measured yet but I'm confident I have way over 10cm now.
Problem being it's being blowing a gale so I have drifts in the garden that are over a foot.
Still snowing..light/moderate..

It’s just light snow. Doesn’t look to be moving at all. Bit like the fine rain you’d get soaked in but it’s snow today!
Light but slowly topping up my accumulation..
As long as it continues..

Defo got some more overnight in canterbury! Now all surfaces have a good covering. It is still snowing lightly too. However, roads looks like an ice rink. Hoping for this light snow to continue for the day! Looks like it will according to forecasts with the odd heavier bit possible. Hope more people get some! Met certainly confident I’ll see more, heavy snow on and off all day, taken with a pinch of salt tho!
Yep , looking very Antarctic out there.
Thick layer of snow everywhere , roads like ice and snowing lightly still. Be nice to see another day of it like yesterday..

A truly epic day in East Ipswich non stop snow since 07:00 and currently blizzard conditions outside at 21:30. Hard to judge a reliable depth with drifting tho must be 12cms + Beats 2010 for me just purely on persistence of snow. Could be a once in a lifetime event for me with global warning ( I’m 35 )
Totally agree.
Same here , snowing since 7.30.
Still snowing.
My last measure was around 8cm but that was 4 hours ago and its snowed plenty since.
Will get ruler out in the morning after anything else that we get tonight.
Think its gonna be on par wth 2013.
Will go down as a special one to add to the old ones.
82,84,87,91,95,10,13
18 wasnt all that special for snowfall here just brutal cold.

Thought it was fizzling out , just opened curtains and its hammering down again..
What a day...
Winter wonderland out my window..
Better than 2018.
I'd have to go back to 2013 to be on par wth the amount I've had today
This is what the chase is all about for us coldies
Today I struck gold..
