  1. Forgive me if am wrong but didn't they go with mild at the weekend about this far away last week and then changed their minds as the snow became more certain? Not saying we will get snow again but they don't seem to look at the bigger picture...just sayin...

Well thet certainly seem to be in disagreement wth most of the models , which makes me wonder why & wot they seem to know that others dont !!
  2. i am sure your temp is about right as there is no drip drip from the snow and although it has gone from the path around the house it is still deep on the lawn/garden, we have a minituare labradoodle and when she goes into the garden we cant see her short legs and her underside rubs on the snow !!

freezing out there today! really dont want to venture out...Bambi springs to mind. I managed to get some pictures of the snowflakes though :D

That snow flake looks perfect , hope theres more like that this evening falling on a very frozen ground. :good:
  3. Interestingly as we now have the flow off the North Sea we are no where near as cold as Mid Kent.

    Recently

    Temp : -2.5c

    Dewp : -4.1c

Still a beautiful winters day with wall to wall sunshine and a splattering of biggish snowflakes on the cars as some showers passed through very early this morning.

Amazingly we seeem to be colder here on the coast ,than inland areas which is not normally the case , still -1.3 here with a very cold wind now blowing , sunny skies though making the snow and ice look sparkling beautiful.

Are the models now sugesting an extension to this cold??

I see snow flurries are forcast for parts of kent through tonoght wth very low temps. :acute: .

  4. Just looked through the ECM GFS and UKMO, the ecm looks like we might be going through the nerve shredder again, by showing us some tasty easterly prospects! GFS also hinting at this, UkMO not sure yet as does not go out far enough.

Really cold ere this morning -3.6 , blue skies , but all that slush and snow has turned to stone this morning , rubbish men havent been either so roads must be a nightmare hoping for some more low temps tonight along wth maybe some snow flurries., loving this weather ,hope it stays for at least another week wth morE shots of potential snow ??
  5. I posted one and no one seemed to notice! I know it's barely a covering but it is still snow...will post again in case you blinked and missed it :p

Have roughly the same sort of cover on my street in ramsgate ,,temp here is a little high though at 1.6c , hope it will be colder for tomorow evenings main course as the snow we have had tonight has not all been all of snow ,bit sleety at times and wet
  6. hi guys . lets assume that we get the long awaited snow sat night/sunday, can any of the more experienced people tell me wether it will melt away by the end of the day or can i expect it to be hanging around for a few days .

I dont know about you guys but id quite like to look out on a white wilderness even if its just for a few days , atleast then we can say weve had a winter of sorts .

Temp here 0.9c already warmer than yesterdays max of just 0.4c dropped to -2.3 last night , cloudy skies at mo.
