My god just looked at temp +3.6c whats going on anyone?, was expecting at least a freeze last night even without the snow , very strong NE wind at mo.
This is actually just average cold at mo, no big freeze for us Easteners.

Looking at the models at T96-120, there is a general agreement of some sort of heights to our north but a complete lack of agreement with regards to the Atlantic and how much/if any energy gets sent underneath the block. If you look at T96 its almost a complete split really with regards to how the 3 big models handle the Atlantic push.
Take your pick! UKMO for me...

1 question about this chart.. Yes its cold, but i see no snow opertunties after a possible sleet,wet snow tonight.if it happens. and at the end of the day thats what we all want on this forum,. even an inch will do...

Just for once can we please see these charts actually materialise, it would be epic , but after today i need to take a step back, after spending a week chasing these fantastic looking charts , im exhausted and need sleep..

Today shows why frontal snowfall although possibly the most rewarding, is almost always the wrong side of marginal for us.
Give me a decent flow off the N.Sea in sub -8c 850 air and a sunshine and snow showers setup anyday, over this bloody heart-attack miserable stuff.
I feel your pain.

Current temp in Folkestone at the moment is 4.2c
I think we are in the warm core as its also +4 in ramsgate..

Where has our raging Easterly gone for midweek wth frequent heavy penatrating snow showers ,only 2 days ago i was reading this ??

Gutted !! had a good cover of snow this morning, Temps now up to +3c and just started to rain ,game over today and probally the rest of the week, Yes it looks like staying cold , but what is there to cheer about if theres no snow to go wth..

judging by these DPs we have the lowest in the country,lower than east anglia,linconshire etc , yet we are at risk of rain?
Im hoping that band dosent make it here till late avo ,hopefully temps will be dropping by then..currently 1.4c

Bbc south east.... 903am snow into kent this afternoon and heavy snow tonight for most of region.....
so are they now saying snow for East Kent??, very cold in ramsgate this morning still just below freezing wth snow cover this may make a differnce?

Have woken to a winter wonderland, 4 inchs in garden level,trees look fantastic everthing coated wth a big chunky looking snow , must of been big flakes in the night ,,
T emps are good to when i looked at midnight it was +2, nows its -0.6c , really wish this sleet,rain wasent coming now i would be more than happy keeping what ive got ,
i know it sounds selfish, but was suprized this morn , now i want to keep!!!!!

Acording to satalite radar it should be snowing steady here ,but i have diddly squat!!, all evening ive been looking out the bloody window at the street light, yes weve had a few flurries but nothing the radar is suggesting,
Got a bad feeling about all the expectation this week,why cant we just get a desent 5 day easterly gale wth heavy snow and tempratures remenisant of 1991..not much to ask surely....proper cold spells are so hard to come by...

But wth temps of +3 dont get your hopes up it will be anything other than rain,sleet,wet snow....
