Did he happen to mention where?

No there isn't. I wish people would stop with that myth. The North is a big area, some northern areas get very little snow.
Ditto with us down here, the south is a big area. Some areas also get very little snow.

The degree of heat is new in the South.
Never used to get above 35c before so easily.
The m0dern cl1m4te is pathetic.
True, heat is increasing two-fold.
Roll on spring, had enough of cleaning my white car.

For the north the cold spell is just beginning. Maybe be only 3-5 days but there's a chance of snow. Not trying to rub it in but this forum would have you believe there is no cold spell at all which isn't true!
There’s always snow up north, and south will have the heat in the summer.
Tis as it always is.

sometimes the A1M was so bad even the hard shoulder was unsafe as the trees laden with snow were overhanging into it. worst weather though was strong winds. saw a motor biker blown across carriageways in cross winds a few times.

Welcome to my everyday world.

Another 200 miles north and we'll be happier in the mids. The south don't need another snow event - had plenty last December.
Did we now. Okie dokie.
Not expecting anything from this week, although I hope those further south will get something.
On a positive note, it will dry out here in the shires, before whatever next weekend throws at us.

God it’s hard work in the MAD thread.
They are very good at collectively talking up the doom and gloom. You’d think we were looking at a week of Tutg rain.
Think I need a stiff drink..
Unfortunately, it’s like the old “Bullseye” saying, (target audience here) - “look what you could have won”.
A veil was drawn back onto Narnia, but has been torn away.
That saying, the mood swings are hilarious.

So it's gone from a month-long freeze to a 5-day cold snap in that thread
And mainly oop-north.

I can see a patch of white south of that over NW Kent thankfully
Think you’ll find that just a smudge that hasn’t been cleaned properly.

If we got cold weather and snow 15th to the 23rd I’d be over the moon with that especially as February looks interesting if not more interesting with angular momentum on the rise again from a much higher base state and further weakening if not ssw higher up!
Interesting times ahead, and right on the coat tails of the hottest year on record.

Just drove home. plenty of trees almost completley over into country lanes with just one lane passable.
Easy to miss as the headlights are low down. potantial to smash car wind screens.
Numerous broken branches strewn across the road and a few wheelie bins sitting in the roads.
This storm should be called 'Storm hench' as its a lot more disruptive than suggested.
Just drove from Gerrards Cross to Codicote. Looks like I missed all the fun.
Rear garden is flooded mind, and that is not a euphemism.
