    Im takign the family to Fairford Airshow next Friday. Im almost scared to look at the forecast as I seemed to be jinxed last year when i went. We were in the middle of 5 weeks heatwave, and yet we had heavy rain right when the big flypast of 50 aircraft were due to flyover :-( At what point do you think forecasters can give a pretty good forecast in advance ? 1 day , 4 days , a week maybe ?     3-3 wasnt it Bluenose ? Good result really. I wont talk about Uniteds.... I shouldve been on here last week predicting snow for this coming weekend. First time we've arranged to go out after xmas... it was a banker to be dodgy weather.

    Out in the garden half an hour ago...cant believe how mild it felt in the sun . Shame so many icey patches on the pavements as wouldve been nice to go for a walk,

    Wifey just rang to say snowing in Bromsgrove and covering the roads, Gone very dark quickly here in Redditch

    Typical , beg for cooler weather and rain , and it decides to come on a day out for me at the airshow at Fairford , Gloucs tomorrow., The main forecast websites seem to differ when / if the rain will come. Some say thunder , even hail (bbc !) possible. Just passing this over to the experts , so I can decide if need to take waterproofs !

    Hey Bish. Nice to see your still here its not just the rain its the blinking cloud cover . Mustve gone to bed thinking about it as had a dream the clouds were about house high and no planes could fly. Dreams eh.... It will be even more ironic as chose to go to the show on Friday ahead of Saturday. Sunday would be intersting if England get thru !

    Hi all. Im travelling down to Fairford, Glos on Friday for the airshow. Having not seen rain here in Worcs for weeks , im really gutted to suddenly see some forecast sites showing showers on Friday afternoon. Just wonder if you guys agree with this ?

    Were off to Torquay next week. Looks like a week of sunshine of showers ? Typical as we've had hardly any rain here in Worcestershire for weeks. Just wondering which forecast you guys think is likely to be correct , as each one I look at is different ? Thanks

    Well as i only seem to post on here in the Winter ( when my driving phobias kick in !). How far in advance would you tend to believe a UK weather forecast ? Maybe never, i hear you say. Im trying hard not too look to far ahead for our holiday in Devon in the Summer.

    I cant believe there is talk of snow over the Easter weekend. Actually i can believe it and probably predicted it. I am thinking if going from Worcs up to Manchester on the Saturday. That wont happen if snow is probably going to happen.

    I must be jinxed - always snows when Im working the weekend ! Just finished watching the football and looked out to see all the cars covered in snow. The roads are clear tho. Light snow falling

    May have to drive over to Coventry on Saturday . Somebody here saying its going to snow on Saturday , but I cant see that anywhere . Please tell me she is wrong. Last weekend was enuff stress for me

    I can , but as i didnt go in today i feel a tad guilty when others did. Also hate being stuck in all day working - dunno how people do it - sends me stir crazy . And yes Im in the 'hate snow when it affects travel' party

    Do we think that the snow will die off by about 12 tonight as the TV are predicting ? The mainly dry tomorrow ? Im hoping to drive into work tomorrow morning , so hoping it wont be any worse than when I go in about 7:30 . its only about 4 miles but if the roads are still bad I wont get in again.

    Snow getting a bit heavier here in Redditch. I need to drive into work tommorow in Redditch.I thought the snow would stop by tea time today u til tommorow nite ? Is that right still. Thanks

    Very light snow here in Redditch. Birmingham airport tonite...well were forecasted light snow for next few hours. Main roads I u understand are OK.

    Bbc now saying 1 hr of heavy then just light snow rest of the day till 6pm Can i ask which of the forecaster websites seem to be the best. Tho you guys all seem more clued up !

    What I hate is the whole , lets see if you can get into work syndrome. , even tho you may get stuck and then not get back home for hours. We can all work from home as we have laptops and they can divert the calls as well. Its flipping 21st Century technology ... just take the stress out of people. Of course the bosses who will be having a go at people for not making it in will be...... sat by their fire.
