I am so engrossed with the model thread and this regional forum that when I popped outside a minute or two ago, I was surprised to find it mild, cloudy and damp!
Amid all this excitement I cannot forget the early December debacle. Mind you, if it should all fall apart like it did then, I would seriously consider the idea that certain weather modelling computers are being maliciously hacked!!!!
Oohh, but I do hope those charts verify!!

I haven't got either. Peasants that we are.
Dear me, some of us have our priorities wrong! I have a dish washer and a tumble drier, but I don't have a weather station, argh! Some wrong decisions there I think!

Time for a vintage port and The Alan Parsons Project.
Sounds good to me, Turn of a Friendly Card is my favourite!
Dense fog as well as frost here.

Noticing a lot of flights being cancelled into and out of Amsterdam Schiphol airport, is this weather related?

Up at 4:30am to see hubby off to work, clear sky, frost on the cars, beautiful. Went back to bed, arose to cold, grey murk! No sunshine, no blue sky, horizon to horizon it's a layer of grey cloud! í ½í¸

Clouding over from the south west, 22.5c at 6:55am, very muggy and calm.

Brief shower with big raindrops and fascinating cloudscapes, think main focus is passing to the west of me tho! Mind you has just started raining again, very muggy too!

THANKS, Sprites. I was wondering whether they had a name. I think I have seen them before, but usually in the distance. it was quite stunning to see them right above me. you may notice I was beng dive bombed by a fly at the time.😳

I took these pictures yesterday, 16th August 2012, around 18:15 looking toward the North East (ish)

Plenty of thunder and lightning ten mins ago, but no rain! That's just arrived, falling like stair rods!

Teeming with rain, gusty wind here in Ockendon

24.5c the max today (so far) and lovely sunny skies although quite a wind on at times. Office is boiling and I feel like a caged rat desperate to go out and play! Home (beer) time cannot come soon enough!
Know how you feel, my office overlooks a park, people sipping from cans and savouring the sunshine, so not fair í ½í¸

Tis coldies in Barking..... Had a minor snow flurry half hour ago....I think three flakes
I think you must have stolen the three flakes that have lurking round here all morning, because they've gone now!

Thanks, Steve. Can I assume by the lack of any tangible excitement in here, that it's not likely to happen?

Interesting line of thought, Surrey!

Please forgive the totally unscientific description, but I've been watching a bank of cloud approaching from the north of my location, out of the window, and it looks for all the world that it's slowly colliding with something up there, what looks like crumple zones are forming in the clouds!! Looks wonderful.
As I say, not the most scientific post on here!
