Oh er, I do believe I can report tiny bits of snow falling here in South Ockendon, well, I never did!!!

Well, sorry people I'm going to blast SW Essex's chances of snow right out of the water, I'm putting the central heating on!! Ruddy cold here!

I think that fact that there were no postings between jp's and MKs this morning indicates how little weather happened in the region overnight, lol. Unless they took the site offline!

Morning MK
Absolute zilch happened here overnight, in fact, comparatively mild at the moment: +1c
Have a good day!

Well, got to work and back home again intact. Some stunning scenes out there, Narnia indeed!! Final measure of snow accumulation at 7:45am this morning was 8cms.
I'm happy with that.

Just celebrating that it wasn't a 0-0 draw!

Snow Depth Cup
Measured at 5:45pm on the wall outside 7:5cms, so a 5cms increase on last night!

Can I bear the look of incredulity that is going to be on my hubby's face when I grab a tape measure and walk down three flights of stairs to measure the depth of snow? He's gonna think I'm raving bonkers, and when he asks why, and when I answer its for the snow depth cup, it will only confirm his suspicions, lololololol, ha ha, hee hee!

I'm torn between watching Man Utd and watching the lamppost
Not an easy choice, I sympathise, but I think on this occasion the lamppost would win, I can watch Man U anytime!

Virtually dark now, lamp-post watching. The snow takes on a magical quality at these light levels, almost mesmerising!

My snow tune of the day is Esmarelda by Ben Howard........bliss
And still the snow falls

Still plenty of snow falling, but not settling where cars have pulled out of parking spaces.

I'm a bit dubious about tomorrow morning, both o/h and I have 5am starts, it's gonna be dodgy, I reckon!

Thurrock Council wasn't overly generous with the grit, some of the main roads round here are being covered.

Snow depth cup!
That wall is too sheltered, just seen other Ockendon reports with very different depths, what to do now?

1-0 to you then! Bad times, lol.
Only half time, don't panic yet!

total amount of snow accumulated on the brick wall at the front of my flat in South Ockendon: 0.5cm

In a fit of pique this afternoon, I hung some washing out! A couple of t-shirts are as stiff as boards now! I reckon there has been a drop in temperature!
Snow grains are falling and settling again, so perhaps I still have a chance to equalise with Shrimper!
