  1. Careful thou, would not be the first time for "egg on face". Then they never listen to you in future!
  2. I always like this one in these situations. Stay away from the forecast tab(I think its automated). But certainly the temp observations are valid: Wind Observation Map - Britain (xcweather.co.uk) Wind Observation Map - Britain (xcweather.co.uk) Struggling to insert the link: www.xcweather.co.uk/GB/observations
  3. GL, Woodchurch! BTW, I think it was you, who, in the last episode, told me rain had arrived. So I gave up, and went to bed. Most strange. From cold and icy to wet cold rain in 30 mins
  4. Dave, I remember we had a ENE. It was just perfect for N Sea convection. Any further south, and the channel warmed things up too much. Any further N (say, Herne Bay) and the showers did not have enough chance to develop. It *really* fell back then!
  5. No, it's great. Though in my case Uber. Gets 2 streets away, then unexplicably goes back to base!
  6. Dave you forget a couple of decent, well, *very* decent falls. Did you live here in the early 2000s. We really did win for totals that time!
  7. Yeh, just like when the models "struggle"! I decode this as "the models are not showing me what I want to see!
  8. Now is a good time to get some kip. Nothing happening for, I reckon, 10-12 hours. zzzzz
  9. Dunno, but I wouldn't want to live in London any more. And that's not even just for the weather! Let's face it 1 or 2 Deg C makes all the difference. Either it falls as rain, and if it does snow, it lasts less long. Pandemic makes no diff, I would say its the sheer (over)population of the area in terms of dwelling that b_uggers your chances up -- so situtation very normal. If you want decent chances of Snow, do a 'me' and get the hell out of London!
  10. Be less smug. It is never guaranteed. Could well still rain. Some charts show this already.
  11. That's it! Jinxed! As soon as someone says, "Nailed on", you just know ...
  12. It's all in FI. SEVEN days out. La-la land for sure. This wouldn't be the first time professional forecasters directly contradict these dodgy models. Guess who is normally right. Watch it get pushed back each day. I've got my safety helmet on, in case of flying toys!
  13. I don't like the look of it. A narrow band, drifting too far to the north. A little drizzle here, perhaps? Nite nite
  14. F-ck! Just missed Ashford by barely a couple of miles, that last shower. Might have Folkestone's name on it, lookin at Radar
  15. Yep -- there's still a warning (about to be removed) but nothing predicted to fall from the sky, apart from some light rain tomorrow late afternoon.
  16. Looked out the Window here in Ashford. Snow everywhere! (but not here it seems ;-)) What little did lay is melting like mad. What's all that about? This event, like many others, was hardly worth the ramping, hyping that went before it. In a word: C R A P if you are a snow lover. There's my moan. Off to bed shortly and expect it to be gone by 10am. Doh!
