  1. The front is barely moving North anymore. Some areas that are under the ppn on the radar are reporting nothing. Some areas (mainly near the coast) are seeing snow turning to rain or sleet rather than snow throughout. There's a reason the professionals (i.e. the Met Office) only have a yellow warning out and have only covered areas to the South and West of the region.

From what we've seen here, its just a band of sleet and snizzle.

Not entirely unexpected: its nr 3 degrees here. Big thaw today.

  2. Have a few thoughts myself and one for the ladies!

Snow is like a Mans Genitals

    1. Its Measured in Inches

    2. Its soft to the touch

    3. It comes when you least expect it!

    4. It never gets as deep as you would like it!

    Thats my kind of mod!

I bet he wasnt the one that put in the (bit about maturity issues). That whole c0ckcr0ft thing was hilarious the other night!

In other news, another not so nice one, who shall remain nameless, is beating up our favourite Mr. Murr in the models thread.

That mod needs moderating. Have a word, would you?

  3. They weren't exactly wrong yesterday? I'm pretty sure quite a few are seeing snow on the ground?! Yea it was hit and miss the further east it went but that was kind of expected. We were just hoping something could push a bit further east.

I beg to differ, couldn't have been 'wronger'.

Suppose it depends on your definition of 'heavy', 'widespread' and 'disruptive'.

  4. 1cm of dandruff here (and thats a very optimistic asessment,

Temps above zero so paths are visible again.

Nothing at all on the radar.

    Welcome to the big thaw!

I can't believe you peeps that missed out are ramping the same old tired predictions and models that have now been consistently wrong for over a week!

The maligned bbc 5 day forecast online has proven to be the most reliable during our time 'in the fridge' (note fridge, not freezer!)

  5. Fellow residents of the south east, I know some of you have the raintoday radar bookmarked, and it is a well loved view of the rain (snow) today. But did you know that http://www.netweather.tv/radar updates faster, has lightning, satellite and your weather reports as optional layers. And it makes sure I don't have to keep selling the kids school shoes on eBay, one at a time...

If i sign up, can you promise guarantee to get it to send some non-dandruff snow up to Ashford?

  6. What's the point in freezing your nuts off if you're not going to get a bit of snow fun out of it? I'd prefer not to have the heating on constantly, at least when its snowing there's a reason for it to be cold!
