  1. That rain band on the radar isn't producing. Here in Central London, under the darker blues, it's dry as a bone.
  2. Lovely warm evening/night, sitting outside on patio in t-shirt and shorts after a couple of hours or so painting, one would think we are in July. Just had a tiny sprinkle, but nothing at all on radar.....? Seemed to be playing up earlier. Long may this warm spell continue.
  3. Yes same here, could play dot to dot on my garden table with the rain from last night.
  4. Radar looks weird when you play it back and forth, South and West of London, rain bands are going in all sorts of directions, some S to N and some W to E.
  5. Been very dry here, no rain not even showers. My 210 litre water butt is nearly empty, and i only water a small area of new lawn. It has been great weather but looking forward to some wet stuff. Mornings getting cooler now, nights drawing in so here comes autumn. I do love the changing seasons.
  6. So the air con in your hotel when you go abroad for a weeks summer holiday is firmly turned off?
  7. Looking forward to the upcoming spell of hot weather. Nights drawing in quickly. Long gone are the days of pottering around the garden after 10pm.
  8. Any luck yet, must be getting some soon by the looks of the radar? Had one shower so far, pretty heavy for 5 minutes, lovely when the sun is out which is more often than not.
  9. Lol nothing landed in my hair thankfully. I bet that hurts, the force they opened today could break a nose!! Sunny most of today, but that wind a tad too blowy to be out in the garden, along with our new walkway to the neighbours.
  10. Fence panel down in garden with some really strong gusts. Bent down just in time as next doors bin lid flew open and the wind took some empty kebab boxes and they flew just over my head.
  11. At this rate, I might have to water the garden later.....
  12. The yellow warning should have been to warn people they may need to dust down their umbrella for the morning. :)
  13. I guess most of the warnings are away from the SE as it won't be as bad here but as Suurey says, people do much more outside this time of year.
  14. Refreshing outside at 18.8c when i got up at 7.45am, but every item in out bathroom cabinet very warm to the touch. Very strange.
  15. My opinion is this is just another cycle in earth's warming which isn't a first, but the rate of warming might be. When we start entering another ice age i wonder who will get the blame? No doubt i will get climate change fanatics on my case but as I said, its just my opinion. I love extremes, makes weather that bit more interesting. People just need to be careful.
  16. Loving this weather, perfect temperatures, plenty of sun, humid, but not overly so. I will take this weather all day long during the summer. Bar the deluge in June (which was needed) it has been great. I hear some people moaning (in other regional chats) of the bad summer they are having, but not here, it's been super fantastic. I have been growing a new lawn, in parts and luckily I have a water butt, but I was on my last drop before it hammered down. It's tough growing in summer, you do need the odd day of showers or rain to help grow and top up my water level, but the rainfall has been kept away from my area. Recently when showers or rain are in the forecast it never seems to materialise or are more scattered than first thought, here's hoping to a brief shower or 2 today.
  17. Not forecast at all, meant to be dry. Been at the end of that line of rain for 2-3 hours and had light rain with the odd heavier burst.
  18. Yet another dry day when rain was forecast. It seems weather forecasting is not getting any easier.
  19. What a gloroius spell of weather we are having. My water butt after being nearly full after the last lot of rain is now 5% full. I think it was topped up a tiny bit after last nights sprinkle. My newly seeded grass (only doing lawn bit by bit) needs rain and I am trying to only use recycled water to get me a new lawn...might have to use the garden tap...wife thinks i am nuts!!!
  20. All this talk of the wet stuff, and my area has seen only a light drizzle since the breakdown was due, just enough to wet the floor. Lovely weather for sitting outside.
  21. Had brief but heavy snow shower in Wallington after steady rain.
  22. Neighbours trampoline has moved 20 yards closer to their house. Squall line incoming could be really bad news. Have to stay up to now to make sure all is good. Wind howling and trees making lots of noise.
