    78/79 81/82 I was 5 and 7 And remember both these winters well by the photos my mum took 81/82 i think started my snow addiction off lol I remember a whole school playground having a snowball fight with around 10 inches on the ground 87 was decent to snow on ground for 2 weeks

    One thing i gave up on 5 years ago now was listening to the met office lrf 's complete waste of time also i gave up on beliving anything the bbc weather men forecast beyond 4 days Many many ocasions they cant even get 3 days inadvance right Ive been rarely disaponted since

    Same old same old Lrf are just a complete waste of time Infact if a so called weather expert forecaster cant predict by looking at the models accurately for t96 hours why have any faith in them at all there after Gfs ecm both showing a few milder days starting from today with no frost this morning down here after that who knows

    Ecm basically saying you all moaned about wind and rain from the west last december so are put a block there for half a month till you start moaning you want westerlys again :-)

    The control being on board is a major plus imo ECM still looks like it could be fun and games before xmas but obviously gfs hopefully is on the money and the sledge can be dusted down as its not been used for over 4 years

    a good evenings runs and plenty to be positive about as we head into the first month of winter loving the end of the ECM run so much different from last years start to winter and fingers crossed this time the fun and games begin sooner rather than later this autumn has had an 80's feel to it so hope history can repeat its self
