It's snowing here in Monkton at sea level. Very light but it's snowing. Got to be a good sign.

No mine is just a personal one.
That is the right one though. It sends the data to the Weather cloud app.

My weather station has packed in for good it seems now. However the sensor inside the summer house shows -2.9.
I got a new one for Christmas so will hopefully get it up at the weekend.

We actually managed to hold on to our Power through the night.
Seen a few more trees down on the way to work.

Very wet and windy. Still have power though so far. We’ll see what happens. Fingers crossed.

There's a lot less focus on Jocelyn, but there are still some very strong gusts showing on the UKV into the west and then up into the northern Isles. Looks like the worst hits here slightly later at night than last time so it may not be the easiest to sleep tonight...
I'll say cheerio to my power again tonight then. Only came back on last night at about 10pm.

Going by the clock on the cooker we had a power cut for 11 1/2 hours overnight. I slept through it like I always do. However upon getting up only some of the lights work in the house. Some are really dim. Lights in bathroom came on dim then brightened up but the expelair did not come on. No heating no hot water. Checked the board and nothing tripped. No street lights. Its like we're on some kind of low power mode or something. Old school halogen bulbs not coming on but new LED's in the kitchen work fine. Strange.
Seen 2 trees down on the way in and a lot of debris on the roads.

We”vehad two power cuts already. Everyone has a torch and some head torches. When is this due to peak?

Really getting going here now. Went to take dog out, she peed on grass and went back to step. It’s an unusual direction right now coming directly from the south.

Congrats NS.
Make sure to enjoy the time you have together as time goes by really fast. Can’t believe mine are 18 now. My house is basically a party house now. My daughter with her uni pals and boyfriend and son with girlfriend. He works at my work now as apprentice engineer. It’s a wild ride but you’ll love it.
back to weather it’s 7deg and a wee bit windy.

Oh for goodness sake. Was about to post my end of cold snap conclusion and we have a wee mini streamer just hit. Temps -2c/-3dp and light snow falling.
Hope I don't get banned for saying looking forward to snow melting and a change of weather types for a bit
Not had much snow here but I’m looking forward to a wee bit warmer. Had my mouth shaped for Sweet and sour chicken balls from our Chinese the other day but after two nights of -9/-10 their pipes are frozen. This is unacceptable. We did get another dusting today at home which checks out as the met said rain.

I think I need to move further north... great photos everyone!
There are a couple of showers getting ever further south down the west coast and potentially heading into the Glasgow area and more likely further south into Ayrshire, one to keep an eye on for the rest of the day...
Met office says rain even if it does make it through.
