    Update from home.

    Got a dusting during the night not even worthy of a photo. Was raining when I left for work. It turned to hail and by the time I got to Killie it was all gone. Will see see what the rest of the day brings.

    Slackening off and temp on the rise at 0.9. Covering as it is now. Can't see it getting any better.

    Back home now. Snowing steadily with a covering. Currently 0.8. That's down from 1.4 it was when I came in.

    Turning to snow in Darvel now apparently. That's a good sign this early.

    On the coast at Prestwick. Radar shows precip but I see nothing. Edit - Now some very light rain.

    Well Henry managed to rip the felt off our Tree house roof last night. Managed to do a temporary repair so will be a job for the summer. This morning at 5:25 we were woken by the loudest thunder clap I have ever heard. I fully expected to open the curtains to see a downed aircraft in the field opposite, but no. Another flash and instant thunder confirmed what it was.

    I see they have lowered the altitude in the warning from mostly over 200m to 100m. Euro4 Looking OK to me.

    Snow warning out for Fri into Sat. Edit: Mostly for north of the central belt in the wording though. Bit surprised as I thought it was looking quite good for here. They obviously know different.

    Top end of Killie pretty bad driving. For once though people seemed to be taking it easy. Main roads up to Darvel OK. Got ot a few inches here. Not bad considering it only showed up at short notice.

    In killie now and surprised how much there is. Beginning to wonder what it will be like up the road and how we'll get home. Radar still showing plenty.

    Current status:- not sure how much longer it will stay on though. Getting lighter.

    -5.7 overnight which is lowest of the winter. Radar shows precip overhead but nothing falling and doesn't look like it will.
