My wife isn't that pleased as she won't drive in this at all and we live up a fairly steep hill. It's not that easy to walk down. Because it's been ploughed it's single track as well. We'll see what this week brings.

Sitting at -0.1 at the moment so I would expect some melt today but with the temps forecast I would imagine we will have this most of the week. Edit: sorry for the dodgy iphone screenshot photos.

Tonight has been pretty unbelievable. Been out all night with the kids. I would say about 5" now. Just managed to bring my boy in. I'm tired now. Will report in the morning. How do you post pics from iphone? Only ever done it from PC. Thanks. Edit: still snowing.

Met Office has 90% Probability for Heavy Snow from Midnight tonight until 7am tomorrow morning. I'm going to go ahead and assume that's incorrect. Surely?

Snowing again in Darvel. Only left a dusting again though. Hopefully things pep up a bit or I can see it just staying as a dusting.

Killie Snow Shield Status = OFFLINE ( A wee dusting in Killie ) Hail stones in Prestwick and reports of Snow in Irvine on the radio. Hopefully we'll see some more later

The met office forecast for my area is full of heavy snow symbols for Friday / Saturday. I hope they are right. I'm hoping my shovelled snow pile which is still there this morning can survive to our next snow arrives.

Snow still holding on in Darvel. Wife just sent this She says a Gritter has gone through the hedge up the hill a bit, but refused to go get a photo. I would guess this will be all gone by the time I get in. Looks like there will be more chances later in the week. Also MT getting excited about frontal snow next wed. Bit too far away to take seriously I would have thought.

Wife phoned to say it's heavy snow in Darvel at the moment. She say's its fun and games at the school as it sits on a hill and the Lollipop lady is stopping the traffic to let the kids cross and nobody can get going again. I've asked her to send me some pics.

Woke up to the same dusting as we had last night. Tire tracks in the snow had turned to pure ice. Noticed the guy round the corners BMW abandoned half way up the hill. Zilch in Killie. Started heavy snow / hail on the A77 heading to Prestwick but nothing at all on the ground at the airport. Looks like there is something on the radar inbound at the moment but I'm guessing anything that falls will be gone by the time I get home. Better than nothing I suppose.

Not sure where you are but it's all snow in darvel. It's off now though and don't see much more coming. Looks to be splitting right at as on the radar. Doh!
