  1. That was originally on the models for early morning hours, yes.
  2. I dont think the HP forcing from the South has managed to create the friction and bending that some of the models showed. This has probably saved the South coast from a complete blasting in the early hours.
  3. Ridiculous winds here. Put extra ropes on the boat today and cleared the roof, just 25kg coal bags holding down the winter hatch covers. I only got back at 3, the canal was still ice covered, none left now, although occasional clatters as an iceberg flies past. My station is only showing max gust of 40mph, its low down 6ft, 1ft above boat roof, so the wind gusts are never accurate. All other stations around here are above me.
  4. You are wrong, serious danger after midnight as the system twists and the jet forces the southern flanks.
  5. Even they dont promise delivery within an hour....
  6. Forever if you dont eat it. If the lid/ door are kept shut, fridge 12-24 hours, freezer 48 hours
  7. I've just cleared a couple of large branches off the A5 which several cars had slowed and indicated to go round rather than just stop and clear them. Sferics picking up off NW Ireland.
  8. Snow melt, frozen ground and heavy rain, not a good prognosis this early in the storm. With the amount or orographic forcing, the Lakes, especially on the Carlisle side could see major flooding issues.
  9. I will don me Speedos accordingly and go and stay safe.
  10. The first section of the Metoffice Blackpool warning view tells you to go down the beach and use an app if you get in trouble in the water or cut off!!
  11. Ah, I think we will be OK, that big red arrow just misses Uncle Tom's Cabin.
