  1. Looks like we are going to have a direct hit..... Black dot NNE of hail cell..
  2. We were supposed to be setting off out on the boat this afternoon for Easter, currently sat by the stove watching very strong gusts and torrential rain for last hour, with no end in sight. If we clear the squall line, we might risk it later!!
  3. Most events cancelled and public facilities closed today, snow warning for Teide on Tenerife as well!!
  4. Looks like it is becoming more photogenic too..
  5. The rain when it falls will be heavier, and last longer, the hail, will be bigger, the snow, will be heavier, and the records will continue to be broken day after day after day...sometimes by exceptional amounts, sometimes by catastrophic amounts. The world has to start dealing with the swiftly moving climate norms, planning for extremes, and realising that the old normal weather isnt around any more The insurance companies are showing the way......in case you thought they were being underhand.
  6. We managed to escape Barcelona at the end of Feb just as the first mainland Spain case was announced....in Barcelona!! I travelled the Blackpool route once every 2 weeks throughout to help Mum with shopping, the motorways were an absolute pleasure, never got stopped once!! We are in the middle of the countryside, and it was amazing being able to hear birds and nature. The A5 was silent, the West Coast Mainline silent, very few planes...(flightradar24 was in its element). Having the canal and towpath as our exercise during that warm spell was heaven sent, although all the local villagers had the same idea....back into hedge to let people pass became an art! Taking the boat out for a pumpout(sewage removal) once a month was very scary, didnt know whether we would get reported or not!
  7. Aaron Jayjack waiting for a hook to come after him...
  8. We had a couple of small tornados today in the central belt of Italy....far too early in a normal year.
  9. Came up early as Mum said rain was expected in Blackpool by early afternoon(she watches BBC). Managed to get grass mown first time thisb year, bay tree cut back, garden bench out of garage and Danish oiled, dried lovely in the afternoon sunshine....even managed to dry the back of the Golf out which seems to be creating a condensation lake due to lack of use.... yes, mum, stop watching the Beeb weather...
