    Horrible day today once the showers got going, you could see the cold air being pushed down as the clouds formed mammatus ahead of the precipitation.

    One of the most notable for me not mentioned already was Ophelia. I was moving a boat across the Midlands, but wasnt so much the wind that made it stand out(although spectacular in Ireland).. ..but the orange twilight for half the day as it dragged up Sahara sand and mixed it with Spanish and Portuguese wildfire smoke.

    The very soft powder snow has lasted all night, white wheel tracks not wet this morning. The light cloud line is just encroaching over us now, but it's down to -4 a couple of hours ago.

    Because planes fly, landing is the tricky bit, if they cant land at designated airport, they will get redirected to one not as affected by local winds.....for that is all that this is to air traffic control .

    If you are still at Barrow, you should have some protection from the hillside and trees, I dread to think what it would be like on my fave mooring above the lock at Sileby!! Everything's off me roof and extra ropes on where I am.

    The Met office showed how the warm sector would infill from the West before being shoved away by the cold northerly.

    Everything cleared from roof or secured, extra ropes put on, houdini hatch covers strapped down, boat is now ready for whatever tonight can bring. I've moved the car over to the A5 in case of any snow cover as we have an early start, got ice skating in London to enjoy tommorow with the grandkids.
