  1. Its just pepped up here a touch in rainford st helens no melting as of yet apart from very close to the house
  2. yeh on the bbc graphics the band is well short of north wales coast at 8am
  3. Do you think st helens area is in the firing line backtrack?
  4. Down the road in rainford its sticking perfectly been out with the kids and its enough to run a plastic sledge on and its great for snowballs
  5. In Rainford nr St helens and its has been snowing moderately for a couple of hours giving a good covering on every surface going out the front with the kids for a snow ball fight
  6. yeh they are a bit anyway as the recent forcasts are much better than earlier when no snow what so ever arrived on friday
  7. Just said on the latest weather a 11.30pm that its a dead cert for disruptive snow for the orange area on friday
  8. the latest bbc forcast put the NW in the highest risk area for disruption Dark orange!!!
  9. And the fairly long lived northerly before hand, good FI run not that it will turn out like that
  10. Quite a wintry picture for the north especially, if this run came off there could be a fair few snow falls over the post christmas week, though they will generally be transient affairs
  11. haha thats not a complete U turn just a variation of the theme. Come on!!! As its stands bitter cold next week and then who knows after that. The block may hold or the atlantic may win or a battle gorund situation could occur.

  13. in regards to the met office maps it say issued November 2012???
  14. Its updated it says Issued November?? still going for a higher prob of below average temps??
  15. if the GFS is over cooking the low is it then also overestimating the effect it has on the ridge to the East?
  16. Both years produced around 8 inches (In Rainford St Helens Merseyside) and we are below sea level, well not far off lol and it stayed on the ground day after day. December 2010 was the best here with the snow starting late evening and still going through the next morning
