  1. Your living in the right country, especially in the North, it could be a whole lot worse in terms of heat.
  2. Yeah, nothing like 5 days of forecasted cloud all day to get my heart pumping.
  3. For the ones I've been to, The Pyrénées and the Sierra Nevada (California) are my favourites sierras are very great for driving and have great rock formations, whilst the Pyrénées are beautiful for hiking and are scary as hell in a thunderstorm, if we are just talking U.K then it has to be Wales, that place was made for mountains.
  4. Some people are so negative, who really noticies the nights drawing in until Late August, summer hasn't even started yet.
  5. I'm definitely getting very fed up of being cold and being wet, at least April it was refreshing to see rain and showers it's getting stale now and samey time for a change but that won't happen until the turn of June I think.
  6. In the 90s,early 00s I prefered T-Storms, because I got to exprience more, 2009 onwards it's been snow, I think i prefer snow overall but only just as I love both, but I haven't much of either lately.
  7. If the GFS for the next two weeks comes off then this May won't be the coldest in 100 years, we'll see what happens though.
  8. Is there any type of weather that Southern France doesn't get! clearly not.
  9. 12C here, and drying up after a wet/windy night, and sun popping through now and then, looks like showers from coming up from the south will follow behind the main rain though.
  10. Your entitled to your own opinion, but don't forget that light is the source of life, and without the sun's light and heat energy on our earth, it would be a very different place, the earth is beautifully vibrant and varied thanks to the sun's influence and the atmosphere as well.
  11. No need to worry guys this May won't be the coldest in 100 years, but not as good as last year.
  12. My forecast I posted back in Feb for March/April has been almost spot on about March being much above average and April being much cooler than last year and more showery, wish the warmth would return though i'm sick of being cold all of the time.
  13. If only, those temperatures would sastify me for the summer!
  14. Thanks man, it was a great cold spell/wave for Europe, and Italy was hit rather hard, I remember Milano/Torino having observed snow on common ocassions as well as Roma during early feb, good to hear your story.
  15. Average/Slightly Above with a similar summer to 2009 I think, June the warmest month and August warmish and better than last year.
  16. Maybe not everyone is the same, and find the weather a key factor for going outside, I tend not to go out loads because it's too cold and depressing most of the time, in a warmer country I and rodthefool would certainly be outside more, but everyone's different and if you want to go outside when the weather sucks that's cool, but not everyone will think the same.
  17. http://www.meteociel.fr/observations-meteo/satellite.php A satellite image showing just how clear it is at the moment over W.Europe, notice that even western ireland and scotland are totally clear!
  18. Go to Death Valley, and tell me it's ugly, In my opinion one of the most amazing landscapes i've been to with amazing rock formations, sand dunes, salt flats, canyons and mountains, dry and hot with wind creates some beautiful formations.
  19. August 2003 and July 2006 for best months/spells for me , 2006,2003,1999,2009,2001,2005 the best summers i've exprienced here. every other one has felt cold for me apart from maybe 2/3 days.
  20. You must really suffer from seabreezes there, even here in Brighton & Hove managed 30C on the 2nd, although this is a one in 5 year event so June 2009 was a memorable spell of heat and 2009 was easily the best summer since 2006, even July was interesting with heavy downpours/T-Storms.
  21. I think March will be above or even well above average over W.Europe, including Britain, some northerly snow shower set-ups in the north although the south will remain settled, dry and above average with little or no snow south of Birmingham, with the mild set-up fading away in april which I think will be more unsettled and cooler than last year with showers/frontal rain at times, rainfall still no higher than average though.
  22. Wrong, i'll remember April 2011 for years to come, and how it felt like a summer month at times.
