  1. Still 22C here, this is turning into a very decent August.
  2. 22C here, a nice pleasant day so far and looking forward to a warm/hot weekend, also looking forward to seeing just how high the temperatures could get across Europe.
  3. They were talking about Humidex values, 29-32 is the likely high for London, but with some humidity involved it could feel like the mid thirties, 40C might be pushing it though.
  4. Beautifully mild night last night here, 18.5C the minimum, the highest low this year so far.
  5. I'd love to be where you are now Nick, either way, the models do look good for heat and even if they don't make it across the channel it should still be warm at times, and I'll be watching the possible heatwave over France/Spain closely.
  6. Liking the humid feel to things, the nights are shown to be 16-18C around my area for awhile.
  7. Agreed, not been a bad couple of weeks at all and I'm usually quite critical about what feels warm enough, but recently hasn't felt bad at all and it looks promising this August.
  8. Nice to see temperatures holding up at 17-18C with a humidex of 23C, if I wanted to, I could get a bottle of water and relax outside without feeling too cold, always nice to have that option.
  9. I've noticed it, but it isn't that major, thing is, it doesn't bother me much, anyway I prefer 45-30N latitude climates where even in June it goes dark at 9:00pm anyway, what bothers me more is the UV and sun strength now, which is already only a 6, August is fine for me it's still summer and has a happy holiday feeling, but I can't stand that depressing summer is gone feeling between Mid-October and early/mid December.
  10. Whereabouts in France is this, beautiful anvil towers.
  11. I remember Late September/Early October 2009, looking at conditions in Calgary, on the 23rd September it was 33C, a September record for there, then a very severe early cold spell came and on the 12th October and temperature max was -5C and low was -16C, that's a 39C max difference in less than one month!, see Rapid City for a more common example of this occurring.
  12. You on Meteociel or wetterzentrale, I still can't get past 174h.
  13. Cloudy today here, and with a humidex of 19C here, it's not as warm as yesterday , still it was a nice week of weather so no complaints from me.
  14. Got a nice warm humid feel to things today, certainly not chilly feeling today.
  15. Been watching the storm attempts for the last hour or so but off to bed now because storms are dying out in their channel progression and it's the same as usual, soon as storms leave France they die and rain goes from v.heavy to heavy/moderate, maybe a couple of rumbles later and heavy rain but not worth staying up for, didn't expect much anyway.
  16. Shoreham now at 25C with a humidex of 29.3C and feeling very pleasant indeed out there now, as the far south taps into some Very Hot air over France, definitely the best spell of weather this summer.
  17. Very Hot/Humid and sunny or sometimes cloudy and hot is my preferred preference, especially between 28C-40C for long periods as that is when I operate best and feel most happy, sometimes 40C+ now and again but only for short periods, also like snow/frost in winter but also Foehn/Chinook winds which brings 20C+ from time to time during mid-winter easing the cold for awhile, sometimes storms to go with the heat, also wind/rain (especially heavy rain/showers) but only for short periods, favourite climate is either Continental or Mediterranean/Warm/Humid Oceanic, and Hot Desert but due to lack of variation only for short periods.
  18. A good feeling going outside after sunset and only needing a t-shirt, still 23C here and nice pleasant weather.
  19. Really good here, 25C with clear skies and no wind, everything smells nice and people are chilling, glad there's more to come.
  20. Very nice here at 26.7C and sunny all day , topping up my colour following on from Sicilian Sun on me last week, people moaning even though it's 26-28C which isn't even that hot, but truth is people on the whole do seem happier and we need the sun more often for the sake of natural happiness.
  21. The sun is strongest in Late June, but indeed due to thermal lag Early August can potentially be the warmest time of the year, but UV levels and sun angle are slightly lower in June/July.
  22. That mentality is far too British for my liking, why can't some people just accept that some people like 28-32C or higher and warm evenings.
