Heavier snow really struggling to get past Worthing, but surely it will at some point? still snowing here though with 1-2CM including my road and 0.0C. -

Interesting contrasts between right by the sea and five miles inland, 4C in Shoreham by the beach, 3C here about 3/4 mile inland and 2C in Lewes area. -

Met Office forecasted 3C overnight so don't worry too much, tomorrow it's meant to drop to 0C when the snow comes although maybe a little more marignal in Portsmouth and still a little nervous myself, but so far MO have been correct. -

Met Office updates good for here too, they are showing snow friday and heavy snow friday night no longer sleet, and 1C on saturday so wouldn't melt, but still won't ramp until friday morning, then i might just believe. -

Got down to -2C here this morning and frost persisted in the shade all day, very icy and frozen over in waterlogged areas too, now 0.3C.- 803 replies

Look at the longer term benefits, as long as the cold is present there will always be more snow risks down the line, the GFS 18Z is better medium/long term. -

I have be going for a cold end to January and into early feb for some time, which looks quite probable, but at least we should get some hard frosts and it will be icy with all the surface water in place currently, Friday looks mildly interesting but I think Saturday will just be rain here. -

Managed a dusting of snow here, quite pretty although the grass was still too wet from the recent rain for it to stick there, but looks pretty on the roofs and trees, not a bad way to start a cold spell.- 739 replies
