  1. Good to see the rain fizilling out to the west, the thaw while noticeable hasn't been dramatic and temperatures are dropping, so rain rain go away please!
  2. Snow is melting here at 1.5C, but still nothing too rapid as trees and roofs still glazed in snow, and still can't see much grass outside, hopefully that incoming which came into contact with a cold French landmass will bring temperatures down later, but that's not certain.
  3. Can't get into college either because trains are having all sorts of issues, so a day off.
  4. Well at least the Met Office forecast for here looks better this morning, max of 1C with sleety rain before possibly turning to snow wit -1C later in the evening, they were showing 3C yesterday, do expect a thaw today but maybe gaining some later if things go our way, shame about the Hastings area, 4C. Either way this cold spell has already satisfied me for this winter and already better than winter 2011/12 and most of the winters of the late 90s/early 2000s.
  5. Great day here, went out for a couple of hours as looking outside and being on the computer doesn't really give you the full exprience so went out up to high parts of Hove with 8-10cm snow up there measured in places, roads looked bad up there and in Hove Park people were sledging and everyone was enjoying themselves, back home seems to of gained 0.5cm since I left as well with a beautiful wintry scene outside my window.
  6. Radar show the heavy flakes refusing to hit past Newhaven but it just doesn't seem to matter, this fine stuff is quite heavy and now settling well on the pavements and roads replacing the slushy stuff.
  7. Fine snow here, but radar suggests heavier stuff on it's way , also a light covering on the trees where the snow had fallen off from the last snowfall.
  8. Temperatures refusing to go below freezing which is a tad frustrating, too much cloud cover at present, but at 0.3C no big problem, hopefully 2-5cm top up tomorrow.
  9. I'm suprised the MO haven't updated their warning yet, 1-2cms in Kent shouldn't happen unless it does just go into the North Sea, surely an amber for at least Kent and Essex at some point.
  10. Thawing here somewhat now as well but nothing too severe, still a pretty good covering although roads/pavements are slushy and snow in places heated by the house have melted and grass showing in places, but still 2 inches on some cars and roofs, looking foward to later on when the tempearture drops so we don't lose any more.
  11. I Don't understand? I've still got 3 inches still here, what I meant was that the guy from Hastings should be okay to see snow tomorrow.
  12. You should be fine on Sunday, the front yesterday just ran out of energy once it hit eastern parts of the SE.
  13. Went out for walk and down to the coast, the wind was bitter and blowing snow, still snowing and 8cm accumulation
  14. Very light here now but looks like one more burst of big flakes before it goes away, been a very enjoyable day so far.
  15. Grass pretty much invisible now under the snow, and more coming in from the channel although I'm already satisfied.
  16. This is amazing, heavy persistent snow for the last hour now and looker quite abit deeper than an hour ago.
  17. wow snow coming down pretty hard now, just did my first measurement, 3.2cm here.
