  1. Looks like I've called this one right, went for a snow turning to rain event and that indeed looks like happening, more oppertunites to come next week though from showers which personally I prefer as they are much less marginal, also more oppertunites to come late jan/early feb.
  2. He is a weather forecaster online, here is the link to his youtube channel, his forecasts are worth checking out. http://www.youtube.com/user/GavinPartridge
  3. Temperature 2C now and not dropping, see you'll in January.
  4. Very Cold indeed this morning as it got down to -4C! lovely hoar frost around the Shoreham area too which almost made it look like snow, shame it's turning milder because even without snow cold and dry alone can be beautiful and fun to watch.
  5. -2.2C, should level out I think now, but pretty cold all the same, should be a nice harsh frost in the morning.
  6. Quite cold last night with a low of -1.0C, now sunny and cold with the temperature at 3.1C. tonight may be the coldest of the winter so far in the SE.
  7. I think it'll certainly just be rain now, unless there's a great turnaround, but I can't see it happening, to be honest it has felt like we've been fighting a losing battle since Friday, basically appreciate the cold of the next few days, as at least we could see some hard frosts and low temperatures to enjoy.
  8. I won't, the GFS 18z does indeed continue the slight upgrade for medium term cold weather, but after the last potential easterly faltered, I'm keeping expectations low.
  9. Getting quite excited for next week now, still a little early to be sure but next week does look promising.
  10. Went to Beachy Head today and it was mostly sunny and warm, also some interesting sea fog around 2:30PM over Eastbourne, does feel summery today though.
  11. Gotta respect people's opinions though, not everyone likes 30C+, nor does everyone like below freezing, nothing wrong with finding -10C comfortable, and I myself enjoy wearing a t-shirt at -2C in winter, just to test myself, just can't stand the in-between 5C-16C temperatures. not warm or cold.
  12. 30-38C perfect temperature for me, with high humidity high 20s-mid 30s.
  13. Doesn't have that warm feel it had last night unfortunately, but still the week-end looks good. current temp 15C.
  14. Not bad here at 21C, Sun took ages to come out but it's out now and feels nice.
  15. Horribly chilly and grey here at 14C, next week looks nice though.
  16. 15.4C, a very warm first week/ten days, followed by more unsettled weather mid-month and mixed to finish with some warm periods. above average overall.
  17. This summer hasn't been bad thanks to the decent August, nothing that good but like 1998 it was saved in August although I'd still rate 1998 slightly higher than 2012. Personally I found that round here 2009 was the best of the modern summers, and ranking quite decent, with warm/hot spells during June, plenty of storms/humidity in July and and an o.k August. I'd now rate this summer round here ahead of 2007 and 2011, but about on par with 2008 and 2010 and behind 2009, although the cool summers are getting tedious, it was nice to finally see a pretty good august after 3 years, so by recent standards this summer was o.k.
  18. 44.1C, In the South near Nimes/Avignon area, during the 2003 heatwave, nothing wrong with having different prefrences either, I may like highs in summer in the 30s or even 40s sometimes but glad there are some who don't as it shows various different interests that people have in weather.
  19. Another very mild night with a low of just 18.8C, but the real places of interest were on the Kent coasts, where some places were 23C long into the night and had a minimum of just 21C! and today should certainly be a hot one in places.
