  1. No real rainfall here to speak of, not what was forecasted really and with a mainly dry week turning possibly warm next week-end in the south, so is likely going to look very dry around here soon it would seem.
  2. When are the showers meant to pep up, gone very quiet on the radar!
  3. I'll probably have to say Ditchling Beacon, the main activity looks like being further east although that is not definate, but certainly you will get some great cloud formations as the showers travel across inner mid-sussex, due to the fact you can see very far to the north up there!
  4. Game on for the South-East tommorrow which has missed out on most of the storms thus far, will be a hit and miss event though, being showers. Good luck everyone for tommorrow!
  5. Some serious storms in North-Central Spain, The SW corner of France and also the Lyon area if anyone can't find anything fun on the radar currently.
  6. And Germany, at about an hour ago the strike rate in those E France storms was 180 strikes! wow!
  7. Don't worry too much, we should eventually get our turn, unless this summer does another 2007 or 2010, we should see good convection occuring at some point, after all the south-east is naturally the warmest and most humid (in terms of humidity combining with heat) and our close proximity to the continent means that a French/Benelux import is allways possible, and the channel is gradully warming up so the chances of a potent import getting over are increasing, so let the notherners enjoy because it is their turn to see some cells and they did yesterday, our turn should come later in summer because of our latitude and the continent.
  8. mostly sunny with light fluffy cumuLus clouds earlier, now sunny and pleasant with calm winds from WSW Temperature: 18.4C DP: 12C Humidity: 63%
  9. Clouds have finally shifted, partly cloudy skies and 18.8C now. Good luck to those in wales for the nw for storms today.
  10. Sun can't make it's way out of light stratus clouds, (mainly cloudy) quite muggy at 18.3C though.
  11. Thought so, even after that decent soaking of rain last night the garden grass is generally still quite brown and some cracks still in place, so for me at least the dry feel is still in place.
  12. Think i'll head off also, clearly nothing convection wise is going to happen tonight you'd think, nothing major storm wise for me since July 2009.
  13. still no rain in eastern kent! must be getting parched there.
  14. I'm offically addicted to radar watching! even when there's nothing interesting to look at.
  15. Solid moderate bodering on heavy rain for the last hour, currently got 8.2mm from this lot tonight, no thunder though, still think they'll be brown patches in the grass tommorrow although less so than yesterday, but a dry week expected here so the dry feel generally continues!
  16. There are more sferics occuring in the channel now, at least it's something! i'm glued to the radar and this forum until 4AM anyway.
  17. Looks amazing in the Isle Of Man and Irish Sea, would love to be there tonight!
  18. Good to hear, thanks for your input, won't shoot you down if your wrong though cuse this kind of weather is hard to predict.
  19. Do you think the rain in N France could pep up a couple of sferics later then?
  20. It's possible, I think we need an import though for that to happen but France is unusually quiet storm wise.
  21. Good anyasis, thing is, there is no electrical activity in these clusters of rain, are you expecting thunder to suddenly form once it hits humid land?
  22. Warming up nicely at 20.2C here, and the biscay must be close to showing precipitation you'd think.
  23. current temperature a humid 18.4C, hopefully the storms will be a tad further east today for those who missed out.
  24. Sarkozy's Storm Shield is working wonders sadly, convectional rain can't make it 10 miles into the channel before being replaced by plain rain!
