Well, let's have a go. Remaining hot to very hot in the far South and East through to Monday night. The north and west having a bit of a wet and windy spell tho. Then definitely more zonal through Tuesday to Friday. Warming up a tad after that and then hot hot hot in the south but cooler and wetter in the North, towards the end of the period. Thunderstorms in the South/East on Monday pm. Never "cold" as such but cooler than of late and much less humid in the south overall.
Probably a total load of c**p but had a try anyway.

Strange, according to metcheck.coms lightning detector, there was one over the sea. Oh well, i certainly heard an isolated rumble of thunder in the distance. Will keep my eyes peeled. Some nice big clouds making their way across the sky here.

Extremely pleasant day here today. Slight cloud at first, max of 23C with a good onshore breeze - humidity v. low. All in all a perfect day for working in but would like it a bit hotter please

After slight drizzle early am has dried up. Currently warm (21C), muggy and dry with a SW wind. Totally overcast.

Thunder for about 20 minutes mid afternoon, not much lightning. Exceptionally large drops of rain for abut 30 seconds, massive downdraught and then drizzle for 2 hours (a storm????) :blink:

Morning all - well we finally got our storm here in NW Norfolk. Lasted for about 30 minutes between 12.30 - 1.00am. Thunder not particularly loud but echoed. Loads of CC - lit up the garden and actually forced the solar lights to go off it was so bright - like about 30 per minute for a while. Torrential rain - then all quiet. If there was anything else I slept through it.

Now torrential rain. Rumbling thunber - no real cracks. Faint lightning CC only. Sky grey overcast - can't see cloud types at all. Still very muggy.

First crack of thunder just heard - not seen any lightning. Still chucking down stairrods. Seems to be brightening slightly. Wind still non-existent.
Edit - 14.27 - well that's that - all gone now - brighter, no rain.

Just started chucking it down here - no thunder, no lightening - rain is coming down vertical. Is this it?

Still quite cloudy here - very humid, gentle south east wind. Temp 26oC. Please someone get rid of the clouds!

Current weather - sunny spells (limited). Wind from the sw at 18mph, temp 14C. Feels chilly.

At approximately 6pm this evening the sky turned a purple-black from the south west. Lightening was flashing across the sky in "chains". The main cloud was moving south to north but clouds appeared from the west (very black like wisps of smoke). They started rotating into the main cloud mass and appeared to be swallowed up by it. There were some rumbles of thunder but nothing earth-shattering and then the whole cloud mass which was right overhead appeared to suddenly rotate - there was a terrible downdraft (the wind screeched) - it picked up a 10ft tree in the garden and put it back down 6" to the left of where it started - didn't actually uproot it, took the cover off the flat roof of the shed. Leaves and twigs swirled off the trees, flowers blew everywhere, there was torrential rain .............. and after about 10-20 seconds it was all over! The clouds seemed to lighten almost immediately and by 6.15 the sun was shining. Was really scared for a moment as I thought it was a tornado - must have been pretty close to one! Does anyone know what this was? I've heard of "rotating scud" - if that's the right term.

After a slightly chilly start it turned into a lovely day. Maximum this pm only 12C but it felt much warmer than that with light breeze (variable). Felt very springlike. Few passing showers - hardly wetting the ground. All in all much more pleasant than expected.

Dull and miserable. Temp down from 11 to 9 in last two hours. Raining steadily for past 2-3 hours. Where can I buy some summer?

Well a very pleasant day here in North West Norfolk. Temp maxed at 14c but felt much warmer in the sun. Blue skies all day - gentle winds. Perfect Spring day. Wind now only 2mph - sky is clear temp dropping away to 11C

Maximum today of 20C - a little down on the last 2 days. SW wind. One little black cloud came over about 5.00pm - temp dropped about 4 degrees in 30 seconds. Wind gusted for about the same amount of time. Two spots of rain - then the sun came back out and that was that! Oh yes - and one rumble of thunder 10 minutes later. Now a clear, fresh chilly evening.

Temp currently 23C. Hazy sunshine. Few drops of rain but not enough to wet anything. Pressure 1007 (rising). Wind SW -8KN. Feels excessively muggy. Storms not too far off methinks

Got woken up at 4.30 by very bright lightening. Thunder and lightening carried on until about 6.00am. One heavy showery burst of rain but no hail. Got a bit gusty around 6.00am on the back end. First overnight storm we've had in years.

Bright and sunny - temp currently 17C after overnight low of only 14C. Moderate easterly wind.

Heavy drizzle this am. Cleared by 11.00. Max this pm 20C - mostly cloudy but some sun. Very muggy. Pressure dropping. Wind light SW.

A lovely warm spring day with some high thin cloud. Maximum of 18C today, with a south westerly wind.

After small amount of rain overnight - cloudy and breezy this am - temp currently 15C with wind gusting to about 35mph. Very muggy but no precipitation as yet.

Lovely fresh sunny morning. Few clouds in the sky. Temp currently 16C, low overnight of 12C. Much fresher last night. Refreshing westerly breeze. A perfect day in the offing.
