  1. Pretty wet out here - lots of puddles! Was quite heavy rain earlier - hard to believe we are meant to get heavy snow tomorrow .. I'm in Castlereagh Hills by the way!
  2. Nice thank you for the reply! BBC has yellow warning of Rain for N.I ... I thought they used the Met Office - which has issued Amber Snow for N.I
  3. No real acknowledgement of snow from UTV in tonight's news and weather bulletin... just possibility of some wintry showers... Channel 4 have just updated to heavy snow for some parts of N.I throughout Friday!
  4. Been following this thread for a few days ... just logged in today on the laptop - very excited about the prospect of snow at the Weekend - although means I might not get to go up to Ballymoney (I'm in Belfast) to see my cousins if the roads are bad Pretty cold here at the minute I know very little about reading weather models, forecasting etc... I do know they can change very quickly etc..but how's it looking for next week at the minute?
  5. Sorry to sound a bit stupid, new to all this, but does that mean it could head towards the gulf coast or will it still most likely curve to the Atlantic.
  6. Interesting .... Can someone clue me in on how you guys determine whether the storm will develop? What conditions etc do you look at? I really don't know much. Just the basics. (warm sea temperatures, wind speed etc). Wish I could read/understand weather models. Apart from A Level geography, I don't know much!
  7. Really heavy rain here in Belfast, N.I ... But no thunder or lightning as of yet. We had heavy rain last night too but again, no thunder or lighting in my area that I heard.
  8. I'm up Braniel - massive snowflakes earlier - wee bit of a wind now - not sure about the snow conditions
