    Snow has become much lighter now but it appears from the radar that some more intense snow may reach us a little later on from the South East.

    Snowing quite heavily in Coventry, it's been great here so far and if the precipitation is really moving north west, there may be more to come ...

    A good covering here but not really accumulating much even though it's still snowing. Maybe we'll get some more later on...temperature still 0.3 degrees, I do think that slightly more would have accumulated if it had just been half a degree colder now. But it still looks very nice outside so can't really complain.

    Very heavy snow here, white everywhere, this is amazing, It's wonderful and great. We'll see how much accumulates throughout the night. Forecasters are criticised when they get it wrong but it looks like they have got it right so well done...

    Really starting to stick here now, snow very heavily; temperature only 0.5 degrees

    Grass and cars here only too, temperature is 0.7 degrees now...

    Temperatures continuing to tumble, now at 2.1 degrees and has turned more towards snow in the last few minutes.

    Temperature now 2.7 degrees, falling steadily and the rain becoming a little more sleety though it remains light at the moment.

    Since my previous post at 13:28, the temperature has dropped by 1 degree, temperature is now 3.1 degrees. The rain isn't that heavy though.

    Temperature has now dropped to 4.1 degrees; it's all going according to plan it seems.

    Temperatures peaked here at 4.7 degrees, it has now fallen to 4.5 degrees, it seems that as we have now gone past midday, the temperatures won't go any higher today and will gradually start to fall. And yes, it will pep up more later as it interacts with the cold block

    Agreed, the weather forecasts have stressed a great deal of uncertainty. It may be rain in one place then snow 2 miles down the road. Because of the marginal setup, it is going to be that kind of day/night ...

    It's all very marginal so we'll have to see what happens. A few miles here and there could make all the difference. However, even if it does snow, since daytime temperatures are above freezing, a lot of it may melt quite quickly ...

    Sleet here though more towards rain than snow at the moment.

    Was initially snow for first half an hour this evening and then turned to sleet. Now it's sleet but more towards rain now. The predictions of it being mostly snowfall tonight here wasn't correct. It appears some places have got significant snow tonight.
