  1. 7 or 9 (conflicting sites) already dead when Katrina hit florida, so she's already a serial killer.
  2. "100,000 incapable of leaving" There WILL unfortuately deaths. Then the Floods will come.
  3. 6-8am THERE time, not sure what time shift it is to us. I'm watching ALL DAY tomorrow.
  4. I think this is all quite boring lol... Or as my ex-trawlerman Dad would say... "I've fished in worse than that!" Class.
  5. This is going to be the Bank Holiday of the year! No DECADE!
  6. Not particularly, it just means the pressure is lower but the winds have fanned out further. It's a good sign of further pressure drops. Katrina is now the 2nd most intence hurricane on record to hit the mainland USA, GILBERT never did.
  7. Class... Reporters latest words... "This is going to come right up our alley!" Spot on lol.
  8. Midday tomorrow, all hell breaks loose, thats the latest estimated landfall, 180+mph gusts!
  9. One thing bothering me, the USA officials tell everyone to get out, yet they don't close off the opposite side of the road to DOUBLE up outgoing vehicle volumes!? Everyone is told to evacuate London, Via the M1, do you have just 3 lanes open or allow all traffic on both Left and Right carriageways, stopping people traveling south on it? Just seems a waste.
  10. Im on here, 8am in the morn ALL DAY. There is a primevil love in us all of this hurricane. Amazing.
  11. Once in a lifetime event maybe??? It's a unique Storm. Top notch thread
  12. Well spotted, it certainly has just jolted even more west, which is even WORSE for N-O.
  13. Katrina HAS already reformed once, but I doubt it will again, it'll dissipate high in the USA.
  14. About to - need to do some clever wiring tricks first lol.
  15. once the hurricane goes inland a fair way, keep a look out on http://weather.gov at the river situation. That will be killer number 2.
  16. Yeah - I really think, out there, in the eye right now, there are 200-210mph gusts on tap. Due to it's colossal size, it will weaken as it hits land on it's northern quadrant quite alot, maybe a good 10-15%. That said, if the land is flat enough, it will still wallop 155-165mph winds in. And there'll still be reporters out in the thick of it, giving us over here the bank holiday of a lifetime. Pepsi, sweets, crisps and music all of stand-by.
  17. 1992 Andrews Path. Look scarily familiar? Ok Katrina formed alot later, but from then on - it's not a dis-similar path!
  18. Katrina is going to test ALOT of building engineers promises when it torments the sky scrapers and tall buildings. 175mph SUSTAINED!!! That is just plain demonic!
