    Indeed.Although, I get the impression from the radar & the reports on here, that the Taunton area had a lot less thunder/lightning than some other areas of the region [such as Bristol] & other parts of the country. <JG>

    This must be the most active night of thunder in the UK for some time.

    Yep, started really suddenly about 30 mins ago. Looking at the radar it looks like its over the Quantocks now.

    Been quite a lot of thunder in the last hour or so, mainly over towards Wellington way, eased off to a large extent in the last 10-15 mins.

    Definitely passed over here now, weak sun to the west & now a blackbird has started to sing!

    Its just stopped raining here. It did the same here. Went very dark to the south over the Blackdown Hills.

    Still raining heavily here, no further thunder since my previous post.

    Just had our first rumble here in Norton Fitzwarren near Taunton. Raining quite hard too. Wind also picking up.
