  1. Really not holding out for much today or tomorrow here, mother nature be like
  2. Looked out office window to the south (facing channel) and it would appear doomsday is on the way. No lightning or thunder as of yet....
  3. Nothing along the coast of W Sussex! Lots of warm rain, though.
  4. Do today's storms rely on heat/sun? Had none whatsoever here, however, a few strikes have been detected in the channel a while ago. Its currently steady rain.
  5. Spitting with rain now. Sun has not come out all day. Today is a bust.
  6. Looking at the satellite the cloud won't be disappearing anytime within the next several hours here. meh.
  7. Even though most of the storm was 15-20+ miles away, the lightning show was fantastic. Hope this rubbish drizzle clears off along with the cloud, and hoping for some similar action this afternoon/evening.
  8. Set the alarm for 7.15. hope Mother Nature gives me one before that. good luck to all y'all hope Mother Nature doesn't spoil you too much.
  9. Are we expecting anything else once the stuff in the channel has passed? getting some decent flashes from the stuff near Portsmouth/Chichester way. steady rain here for now.
  10. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!! Ireland!!!!! Let's have a storm to top things off
  11. Right now it seems that there are storms to the east and west of me and I'm stuck in the middle. i wish Mother Nature would cooperate with me just for once.
  12. What time do we expect the Spain storms to arrive in the south?
  13. Am about 13 miles west of Brighton. Distant thunder heard. Rainbow seen.
  14. Hearing rumbles from the Brighton storm. lots of shear around too looking at the clouds
  15. This is pot kettle, but it's 7.15 and people are already being negative. The night is young. Have some patience.
  16. is something trying to happen around Brighton area? Quite dark to south and east.
  17. After the sun made a brief apperance earlier, we have now returned to thick overcast cloudy conditions. Humidity is still 100% but there is a breeze now, taking the edge off the humidity. I take it that the cloudy conditions will not hamper the chance of a storm later as the storms will be elevated?
  18. 17.4C, 100% humidity, feels like 23C. Sun sort of trying to come out. Am on the boundary for action later. Think everything will be more inland and East Sussex/Kent way but you never know.
  19. Is this vile drizzle going to hamper the chance of storms later on? Of course it is.
  20. It's overcast and damp out there, doesn't really feel like a storm is on the way either. Not expecting one after the yearly storm quota of 1 was used up on Friday afternoon.
  21. Took these from work in Worthing. it was wet. Hasn't rained this heavy since Noah's ark loads of lightning and thunder, storm must have been a couple of miles away at the most. is there anymore on the way? Very dark to the north/north west.
