  1. We all know the only accurate parts of those maps are in France
  2. The sun of all things has decided to make a very brief appearance before the almighty floods begin.
  3. Looking forward to today's storms! Oh...I'm in the UK, not France. Looking forward to today's bust
  4. Just went to church and threw in a cheeky prayer begging that any French import makes its way further west (into W Sussex) overnight/tomorrow am rather than just Kent. desparate times call for desparate measures. cue my prayer to be ignored lol
  5. Any chance the potential 'Kent clipper' could move a bit west to the Sussex coast? aaaaand that's a no.
  6. Eh?? why are people giving up hope at 3:20pm on a blazing hot afternoon with eroding heights still to move across into an area with superb potential for homegrown storms? Because its not a blazing hot afternoon here i can accept northern parts are now looking to be out of the running - but until the day is out I think we've got a lot to be hopeful for. REALLY?! What would that be then? Gotta keep an eye on the radar and wait! Wait for the next bust, or French theft of storms i'm not saying it'll happen - but what point is there if you give up before it's even started? I'm saying it WON'T happen.
  7. A decent 22c on the south coast with not a single rain drop in sight.
  8. Shoreham TAF, where we are supposed to be outside of the zone for action TAF: EGKA 060804Z 0609/0618 09010KT CAVOK PROB30 TEMPO 0609/0615 11015G25KT 5000 TSRAGS Forecast valid from 06 at 09 UTC to 06 at 18 UTC Wind 10 kt from the East Visibility 10 km or more no clouds below 1500 m and no cumulonimbus Probability 30% : Temporary from 06 at 09 UTC to 06 at 15 UTC Wind 15 kt from the East/Southeast with gusts up to 25 kt Visibility: 5000 m thunderstorm, rain, small hail or snow pellets
  9. There will be some cloud, some sun, some rain, maybe some snow, probably not all in that order though.
  10. Now is the time to pray the unexpected happens (thinking along the lines of 17th july 2017 when we got battered by a storm that was not forecast)
  11. There's only one certainty with UK storm setups...and that is that storms are a certainty in France.
  12. Bust update 08:07 UTC Ac/mid level rubbish just gave a few spits of rain. Sun back out now. Breeze is warm and un refreshing and needs to shift.
  13. Even for s coast? was never expecting any home grown storms here! even will it thunder is at 0%, despite it being at 60-80% all week lol there is some ac so maybe still a remote chance
  14. AROME going for the teaser.... You never know, might be slightly wrong and get hit head on. Edit: am in Worthing, Sussex, S.coast... thought the pics would save with a location marker.
  15. Looks like it's national flying ant day, lots of the buggers around. didnt even get them when it was hotter a couple of weeks ago. a good sign perhaps
