  1. Too much high pressure over Greenland and the west of Ireland i guess? as it's acting as blocking pattern sending all the bad weather over the UK, as per other summers, unless there is a big change expect things to stay as they are now.
  2. I'm sure a lot of us would prefer it to be right, but i'd rather it be wrong in the beginning of June than say July and August, at least now we still have 3 months of summer left? Only trouble is the Longer nights will start coming back.
  3. They have explained clearly enough as to why it changed, and what the future months may have in store.
  4. Well Positive weather solutions are issuing forecasts now for Glastonbury so here it is, Thoughts anyone?
  5. 3 months’ rain in day for Brit ‘Sahara’ PARTS of the South had more rainfall in 24 hours than for the whole of spring, figures revealed yesterday. Despite the deluge, some southern counties have been so dry they could be classified as a DESERT. When the rain finally arrived on Sunday places like Kenley in Surrey got 38.4mm - 5.2mm more than the total for March, April and May together. But Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire have been drier than the Sahara Desert. The three driest counties have received half their usual rainfall, with under 110mm. The Met Office predicts they will get less than 500mm of rain in the year - the classification of a semi-arid desert. Forecaster Dave Britton said: "Those parts of England have had their driest spring since our 1910 record series began." Read more: http://www.thesun.co...l#ixzz1OaWB8bg0
  6. UK Outlook for Wednesday 22 Jun 2011 to Wednesday 6 Jul 2011: Fairly changeable weather is expected to continue, especially across northern and western parts of the United Kingdom where showers or rain are most likely. The south and east should see more in the way of drier and brighter conditions but there is still a chance of a little rain at times. Temperatures are likely to remain close to average in most areas, but will probably remain a little below average where any rain persists in the north and west. However, some southern and eastern parts of the UK may continue to see temperatures above average at times. 7. UK Outlook for Sunday 12 Jun 2011 to Tuesday 21 Jun 2011: Outbreaks of rain and strong winds are likely to spread in from the west or southwest during Sunday followed by a mixture of sunshine and showers for the new working week. By this stage eastern and southeastern parts of the country should see the best of any drier and brighter weather. Often remaining windy at times, mainly towards western coastal areas. Temperatures are likely to be below average for much of the UK, with some chilly nights possible in many areas. However, there are signs of temperatures recovering to average or a little above average later in the period, with it possibly becoming locally rather warm in the east where a drier and more settled trend is indicated. 20. Indeed maybe some brighter skies from Tuesday with rain or showers in between, the east is likely to see temperature between 15c and 18c for just about every day so in any sunny spell it will be very nice the west will be a good few degrees cooler 9c to 13c, with early indications of a warm up from next Saturday, what remains unclear is just how much rain will fall next week.
