    It's amazing how this very quick decline in sun affects mood. Apart from the cold lovers pretty mcu everyone has said how sad and gloomy they feel. I know my mood definately declines about now. At least I've got a holiday in October to grab some final sun.

    I have a 10k on Saturday. Whilst I like running in the rain, the cold wind makes it painful

    Well just happened to have torrential rain and very strong cold winds appear and hit me in the face half way through my run. Thanks weather!

    If it was a bit colder you could have mistaken today for winter. Almost wanted to go home and stick the fire on as the rain reminded me of those freezing January days.

    Loving this warm patch. I'm clinging on to Summer with my fingernails!

    Just one storm for us this year. That's been pretty consistent for several years now.

    It has not stopped raining since the early hours. Not seen a day like this in a loooong time.

    And on cue for the family BBQ we have rain. Mind you, the BBQ is on Sunday which so far hasn't got any rain forecast for us and temps of about 23.

    BBC basically saying 'er we don't really know what will happen over BH weekend. Let's say rain to be on the safe side but it might change'.

    Quite Autumn like today. Boo! Still I think the garden appreciated it.

    I'm a summer person. If I had the weather my way we'd have one month of proper cold Christmassy weather with a shedload of snow, either side of that we'd have the cooler months that are a relief after a long hot summer, but there's enough warmth in the air to be comfortable, then either side of that we'd have a month of that Autumn weather we used to have where we'd get warm days interspersed with much needed heavy showers and storms. The remaining 7 months would be lovely and warm with a couple of months being hot and of course several good storms thrown in to give us some rain and keep the stormlovers happy. I hate it when the evenings start to close in, my mood always dips and I know it's going to be a long time until I can get excited for BBQ season again.

    Whoa! Crazy heavy downpour with very strong winds!

    Not weather related, but does anybody know what's going on in Medway? Had several police cars and vans fly past our house with a few police helicopters too. One was hovering over us for a bit. I didn't do nuffink guv.

    Storm beginning to skim here. Don't know if it will be a direct hit. Do i get out of bed?

    Had a couple of flashes and rumbles this morning. Looked very stormy for a bit, but nothing came of it.

    I have literally just realised why that region is called Benelux. BElgium, NEtherlands, LUXembourg. Facepalm!

    Right heres an idea. Next time it looks like we're going to get a monster storm, no one mention it. Just pretend nothing out of the ordinary is forecast. Let's see if reverse psychology works on weather.

    Considering we were in for a monster just a couple of hours ago, what we actually got was more of a mouse.
