Very sad news, only last weekend I was moving some books and came across a book hew wrote called ' Weather Forecasting' which made me interested in the weather. There was no internet in them days so such a book along with the BBC weather forecast and Angila forecast with Michael Hunt was all you had to keep you happy.

Well done Paul, I have been waiting for this since you mentioned it towards the end of last year. Now all we need are some good summer storms to show what a first class product this is compared to anything else on the web.
Cheers

I maybe going mad http://nwstatic.co.uk/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif , however up until this morning I could return to a thread through the latest option and it would take me to the last post I read. Today both at home and at work it always takes me to the very first post of the thread.
I presume something is stored somewhere to remember this information.

This amount of rain seems to remind me of the Easter Floods of 1998 on the River Ouse, would anyone be able to point me in the direction of archive maps going back to around that time. The set up is probably rather different however I seem to remember very heavy rain all day with thunderstorms.
thanks

Thunder and very dark clouds to my south as can bee seen on the NW radar
-
Supacell, I do hope so as I noticed with my limited knowledge there appears to be trough line on the fax charts for around that time. The BBC forecast also mentions a few isolated heavy showers.

First of all sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place. On the present skin I don't seem to have a button that allows you to go straight to the top of the thread.
Maybe I need to change my settings although this was there when I was using the Christmas skin until it was removed.
thanks
Chris

A developing storm is moving north from my location, som pretty close strikes in the last few minutes although we have the sun out at the same time.
Grass cutting appears to have stopped and not supprised at the last couple of thunder cracks.
