Pale Blue Sky

What's the opinion on taking copies of pictures purely for display on PC screens? More than once, I've liked people's pictures so much I put them on my PC desktop, particularly landscapes and storm pics - to brighten up my desk at work :huh: It gives me something nicer to look at at quieter moments than spreadsheets all day! I don't modify the pictures in any way, and always leave on copyright markings and signatures etc. I worry that what I'm doing is breaching copyright somehow, and might cause offence to the photographer. Am I doing something I shouldn't? Should I be asking permission from the photographer to use their pics on my desktop? thanks -PBS-

I can now take great pleasure in reporting that Northampton finally got a storm, and very pleasing it was too. It took about half an hour to pass over, and at its height, there was lightning every couple of seconds, and near continuous thunder. -PBS-

W'boro has just had another couple of cracks of thunder. Nothing overly exciting as yet though. -PBS-

1 x Thundery Shower is the best I can report for now A couple of rumbles of thunder and a couple of flashes of lightning and quite a lot of rain :blink: -PBS- Edit: Okay, so now it's passed, and the rain has cleared, I can see it's a little more than just a 'thundery shower' :blink: Beatiful shape and texture to the cloud. Looks like there could be another one on the way too... :o
