Last night was pretty bad from what I've heard in the industry.
Below is the Squall line travelling NNW to SSE and this aircraft is heading NNW. London is roughly at our 10 O'clock.

I presume lights flickering is the National Grid?

Take a look at FlightRadar24, a lot of weather avoidance ongoing, especially for STN, LTN & OXF. Aircraft all over the place.

Very wet here in Victoria this morning.

Sadly 3 aircraft and a helicopter have been written off last night out of the aerodrome I fly in. Damage was caused by a Tornado in the Stapleford Area. Very sad.

Now this is cool!

Well an incredible lightshow and distant thunder. Incredible stuff. Reminds me of the MCS we used to get in the UK many moons ago.

Playa de Muro Webcam
WWW.PALMA.CO.UKPlaya de Muro, view over looking Palaya de Muro in Alcudia bay. Also links to nearby Webcams. Some good lightning occurring on this one now. But yes, they sometimes have the tendency to split around the island if coming in from the NW. probably due to the mountanous terrain to the NW. I’ve been hit directly at night in September from storms up from the S/SW in alcudia before.
I only remember as a kid in 2004 the torrential downpour in the day. Unreal that was then bone dry after.

You’re so lucky! Early in the season too. Normally don’t start seeing storms like this until the end of August into September! Enjoy it, they are a different class out there those storms.
Gota Fria right? I think it’s going to miss me to the north. Let’s see.

Majorca looks like it’s going to get a pasting. A fair few cams dotted around the island, should be good!

Atmosphere absolutely ripe over Majorca now, currently 31C with a 25C dew point. Nearly 4,000 J/kg of CAPE available.
Nothing as of yet here. I guess it’s requiring a trigger.
