  1. Boom! Result! Looking very dark to the West of here now! This could be fun!
  2. 17.2C here, Dewpoint: 14C, Humidity 80% and wind coming from the South. Really dark skies and towering cumulus towards the West, brighter further east though. Keep me updated!
  3. Some sferics has now been detected in SE Wales from the Icelandic site. Dark clouds towards the West and some really bubbly clouds towards North Cardiff.
  4. That shower looks really bad - just hoping that it will turn more electrical before it gets here! I think this afternoon could be potentially really bad for South East Wales.
  5. Great storm in Cardiff around 4pm - Hail, torrential rain and frequent thunder and lightning! At last my first storm of the year! As it passed through the thunder became more frequent and was rumbling for quite a while! Just hope there's more to come! Mother also reported torrential rain and a rumble of thunder up in North West Wales.
  6. Just gone and have a look outside - brilliant weather here in Cardiff, the sun is shining and the temperature has risen to 18.3C. Looking over the Bristol channel there is one huge towering cumulus and some cumulus building to the West of Cardiff.Hope we'll get some action today!
  7. I've seen this before back home in North Wales where there was some intracloud lightning where there was a storm in Liverpool which is around 74 miles away!
  8. After a nice start here in Cardiff, showers has now taken over with some very dark clouds towards the Valleys and the Bristol Channel. Temperature nearly reaching 18C here in Cathays. Would be nice seeing some thunderstorms
  9. Gone all warm and humid here in Cardiff city centre - sky looking very turbulenced. One or two heavy raindrops now and again.
  10. Totally agree with you! Can't wait till Winter now, where we might get more sun that what we've had over the summer. One of the sunless and coolest summer that I can remember here in NW Wales! Today no exception, showery, although mostly light but heavier burst seems to come in from the West, low cloud base and quite cool 15C.
  11. I'm in Deiniolen but was in Bangor earlier and the rain was torrential, and I was thinking we might get a rumble of thunder....tonight, who knows? Heavy Rain here now - with nearby Mynydd Llandygai reporting nearly 30mm of rain, but I would say a more has fallen. Cross fingers for any action tonight!
  12. Yet again North Wales misses out on all the action.....although a few bold cumulus clouds and distant Cumulonimbus towards Ireland nothing has developed here. Summer seems to get worse and worse!
  13. Awful weather here from the word go this morning....since then 32mm of rain has fallen...I would of prefered a hot, sunny day!
  14. Still some flashing but now more towards the South West....although saying that strikes only around 1 ever 3/4 min.
  15. Thunderstorm to the North West of here - Many reports on Facebook but I think many's milking it! Just had another rumble now - heavy rain.
  16. haha! Thanks! Yes, everytime I phone home from Cardiff, Mum's saying "Oh the weather is horrible rain, rain, rain!", while I've been enjoying the sunshine since don't know when in Cardiff! Rain hasn't been that heavy today though but plenty of moderate rain showers. Plenty of heavy showers to the south of me now, yet nothing thundery.
  17. Wheiii! Some rough looking showers around Carmarthen and Llandeilo! Heavy Rain here but plenty of dark clouds around!
