  1. It's funny, you never really get used to the climate here no matter how long you've been exposed to it. For our latitude I believe statistically we are the dullest country in the world in terms of average sunshine hours. I have friends who have moved to around the Med and they tell me their happiness has vastly improved (it's not for everyone of course).

I'm really struggling with the very short days in Autumn/Winter now and our (mostly) banal Summers. Won't be long until I consider making the jump to the mainland.

  2. I normally found Winter to be quite cosy but in recent years I've developed SAD for whatever reason. I don't know if this is the same for others who experience SAD but I recognise the littlest 'spring-like' things more so than the average person would because it brings me hope that brighter, warmer weather is nearing.

    For example:

    Fluffy fair-weather clouds.
Roads quickly drying up after rain.
The sun finally rising above the houses across the street.
We have a north-facing garden so it beings me joy to see the sunline finally make it to the lawn.
    + many more!

  3. Models don't get the track 100% correct, even a few hours ahead. We've all seen bands of precipitation go further north or south. I'd be saying that if it was just a Summer low as well. Its not a done deal in marginal situations like this.

The low tomorrow may surprise us, or it may even be rain for Buxton!!
