So Thursday is a snow fest now is it?? What happened to tomorrow? On the weekend Tuesday was the snow fest, and Wednesday it will b Friday or Saturday which will b the snow fest. Can u c where this is going? The same as the models all winter things being pushed back and not happening. I do hope your right for Thursday tho but im expecting it to go the way of the pear

Ha ha ...last tues looked promising, then tomorrow, now thursday, bbc just said thurs looks like rain to start only turning to snow later further inland, i wouldn'tnt bank on anything yet..... except on the mountains, which in fairness are not much of a drive for most. I'm confident i'll be sledging with the kids somewhere at the weekend, but perhaps not where i live.

Always rains in the far south and costal areas though haha we just never seem to have cold enough air and dps in place for us down here!

Other models have it south, some so much that it completely misses Wales, many more changes yet i feel, PPN charts for tues eve look good though.

Woah your model forum material butt so yeah your right .

I'm just connahs quay nomads but your like Everton or Watford - premier league but not right up there with the champions league big hitters .

I agree with you and anyone who has said anything negative towards Derek should hang their heads in shame .

Come on guys this is a weather enthusiast forum leave him alone ?

This could be Dereks last forecast .

When you compare him to the likes of Chris Fawkes , Thomas Schaferknacker , Ian Ferguson , Phil Avery etc it makes you realise it’s a waste of licence payers money .

We really are scraping the barrel with Derek.

Dont feel sorry for him , it’s a serious job , it’s business ,no sympathy , job centre , no reference given ,P45.

I think he has been reading the accurate comments on this forum and even though he knows he was criminally wrong last time , he is just so stubborn and it’s a nose cutting to spite face scenario this time .

I think this indifference is a direct attack against you Andy .

But not only that it’s an attack against weather itself and carried out on British soil .

I think we should stand together, not be scared and do the right thing - expulsion .

There will be retalliation as he has some really hard fanatical mates - but Andy will protect us somehow .

Changed you opinion since this morning? or your just trying to wind up people? either way i hope this is done and we can get back to snow hunting;)

  4. Whats with the Dererk/BBC bashing? I though they were spot on last time. Look at it this way, those of us around Swansea were hopeful of a a good dump of snow, good early orange warning, as it happen didn't get much at all, it stayed east, mainly in the Red warning area which was issued as soon as the high res models put some placement on it. Warnings any earlier would be inaccurate and the general guidance and early warning to authorities was very accurate. Fingers crossed for the weekend even if it's only likely in the higher parts.

So, given that some serious weather looks like commencing come Thursday, would anybody be brave/foolish enough to single out where they think the sweet spots could be, based on current evidence? Don't hunt me down if this map isn't entirely accurate or if the model output changes, but I'll go with locations inside the red line seeing significant snow with places outside of it (Swansea, for example) also potentially seeing some. The southern half of the RoI is also included, and if there weren't so many doubts about less cold air filtering into the far south I'd also include inland Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset.
