Chucking down here in langney/eastbourne for the last half hour too actually.

Ridiculous, ive had 2 hours sleep and i still get up early to check, yes its snowing, a very small covering but still very fine snow is comming down.

And for the first time this autumn/winter i can at last say that here in Eastbourne right on the coast at 0 asl we have snow grains! very light but settling very lightly and not melting!

yup agreeing with coast, snow in Eastbourne, not quite settling at the mo appart from on cars.

Please stop with these silly comments. They come across as very childish. I dont mean to come across as a grumpy old sod but it is spoiling my reading of 'some' interesting comments'. Reading the charts has always been an 'up and down' experience and there is no point in complaining about a chart because you dislike it. The reason you are complaining yourself is because you've been following the charts and they currently are not showing what you or most of us actualy want. Damn i hate moaning so sorry about that.... carry on!

Had 1 or 2 cms of snow in the end this morning here in Eastbourne, on my slow travels up to Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill noted that there was a good 4 or 5 cms there. Mainly all melted now, heres hoping for more later on!

At last! Just started snowing here in East bourne, right on the East sussex coast..

Yawn about time i posted something i guess, i must be one of the least posting older members on here! Just below 3c here right on Eastbourne coast with rain much of the day but now rain/sleet, sleet visable on windscreen of the lorry.

Eastbourne reporting, Eastbourne reporting. I am forever forgetting to report on the 'sunshine coast' weather so im so delighted in telling you all that we had snow grains/graupel on and off all day, very light, pretty much the same as elsewhere it seems. Over and out.

Many many thanks mrs murphy moo! ive been waiting all winter to post a snow report and im proud to say that finaly Eastbourne had some between the times of 11 o clock last night and 2 this morning (i missed it doh!) left a dusting which is still there now. Finally!

substantial dark clouds orangy tinged heading my way (eastbourne) from the north east, have stil yet to see anything at all this winter so i guess this is going to be rain?!

running out of variations of the word snow now...... hang on how about snough? well it started snowing at about 9pm last night here in eastbourne light but blown about in the wind, to wet to settle. At about 10pm i couldnt be bothered to stay up and see what happened to it (maybe coz ive been let down possibly the most in the country this year?!) and suprisingly enough come 5.00 this morning the ground was wet and it was drizzling. Traveling up to haywards heath and crawley today i saw light accumilations on cars and on the grass but it had mainly all melted come 10a.m. Sigh i spose thats it for another year now.... i expect il be back on once the thunder storms start building in a few months time!

had a light snow shower at approx 7.00 pm and another more sleety shower at 7.45, heres hoping for much more!

wow! its gone pitch black here in eastbourne in the last 5 minutes, clouds have been rolling in from the east all day but all of a sudden its gone very dark. was kinda hoping any shower activity would turn up tonight when its colder?
