May finally get a direct hit from the storm just going past Weston.

Keeping my eye on that cell in the Bristol Channel. Should get a decent view from work should it produce lightning when/if it gets here.

Have heard rumbles from this next batch of storms however they are skirting past Bristol which is a shame.

Yeah me too. Managed to see 4 Cloud to Cloud strikes and lots of rumbles of Thunder. Hardly any rain here though.

Blitzortung app has registered a strike in Bath!

Good stuff! I've got mine on a 10 Mile radius at the mo and 60 sec refresh. If you want to see if it works, set the radius higher to like 250 mile so you can get a gist of it. I'm sure there will be plenty of lightning around next week for you to test it on. Great app!!

Hi Ashley G, I use that app. The alarm setting is really good. Used it last week and it woke me up just before the storm arrived. In my eyes, its a 5* app!

I'm not mate don't worry. Its going to take something like last night to get me excited again. So I probably won't be excited until next year lol. I keep watching this video I recorded of last night over and over again lol. The unexpected crash of thunder is immense!!

This sounds good. Also, for those of you on here now. If you have an android phone, get Blitzortung Lightning App from the Play Store. Used it properly for the 1st time last night. Programmed it to set off an alarm when lightning was detected within 10 miles of my location. Its spot on peeps and woke me up just as the storms came in! A must have app for people like us!

Interesting forecast for Saturday. Shame I'll be in North Wales. Thunderstorms possible in the south!
