  1. Just some sharp showers today. Hardly a puff of wind in Glen Garry. Certainly nothing I would try to claim as storm like. Is there more to come?
  2. If you do intend to go to Glenshee, get there very early. I was stuck in a traffic jam for 1.5 hours to get past Glenshee to go to the Lecht on Sunday. Glenshee looked amazing for snow but with the crowds and queues it looked totally dismal. Good if you're into the dodgems!
  3. I'm trying my best to ignore the weather at the moment - so I'll be surprised when I wake to that snowy silence we all crave. I guess I can't help being a glass half full kinda gal!
  4. Lovely...currently 0 degrees and snow at Glenshee, hopefully they'll hang on to their 'dry winter snow' of today for my first lesson on the sticks - I'm a boarder but have embraced the skis for the sake of the kids. Enjoy your airbed avec dram!
  5. Off to Glenshee tomorrow - I vow to build a snowman in remembrance to all those who have fallen (or are currently falling) in the Central belt. Wha's like us, gie few an their awe deid!
  6. Come on folks, too much greetin in oor porridge, ir we no made o sterner stuff? Winter is no oer yit and it's Burns Day/ Nicht ra morra...we can stuff oor moys wi haggis, neeps an tatties, the wither will be as it is...enjoy!
  7. Thanks, it's been snowing very lightly for the last few hours - I do hope that changes over the next few hours
  8. what about the Howe of Fife, will it manage a few flakes too LSS?
  9. Temperature is dropping away - will it freeze in North-East Fife tonight?
  10. Are you on the south or north side of the hills?
  11. We've had wee flakes , biggish flakes, blizzards, off and on...now we have big hailstones battering off the patio doors - what next??
  12. Only breeks split...not kilts! Oh and maybe the occasional vortex
  13. Thanks Blitzen, oh well looks like I'll have to ramp and not rant then !
  14. I'm a bit of a jinx so I'll lurk until the beast comes and drags me oot the shadows of NE Fife! ?What's with the 0 warning points?
  15. You'd be better going in armed with some dummies and rattles!
  16. Cold and dank with a milky full(ish) moon - atmospheric for Halloween. My wee werewolves stayed bright eyed and bushy tailed whilst oot guising, soggy is not a good look. We now have enough sweets to open a shop and with the possibility of glimpsing a bright yellow thing in the sky tomorrow, life is good.
  17. It's blowing a hoolie here in Fife, a mere draft in comparison to the eastern US. Thought I'd bite the bullet and share my opinion in this safe and sane haven - I wish other threads were as calm and coothie.
