  1. Excellent read, I had seen it. Don't let the lunatics spoil the good work. It blows my mind some of the back slapping for the I told you so crew when 10 days ago they were proclaiming the opposite. The denial of science and signals at times and how we will be this and that because we are a small island is quite tiresome and undermines some brilliant posts. Anyway it feels raw out and about still and still odd patch of ice when walking the dog.
  2. I refuse to get too positive bout potential flip again to colder for Xmas even with some encouraging charts..... models just about showing everything just now but most do show Scotland in some form of differing levels of cold from 23rd onwards... another 2 days before I will dare to dream. If could have just kept what's on ground now that would have been ideal but gonna be a big drop drip day tomorrow.
  3. light snow here too, temp up to 3c from 0c in last couple of hours
  4. @101_Northcouldn't recommend Budapest enough... fantastic city with the most beautiful architecture I have seen and really friendly people...some snow at the markets would have been the icing.
  5. Budapest here's the scene at home though... u having that @101_North
  6. absolutely hee haw here in Budapest but Snaw at home hope i can fly back in to Edi tonight no problem
  7. a nice scene in Piperdam this morning.... 100m of elevation enough to make it all lying snow. Going to be some cold temps this week... lets hope a surprise feature pops up with some snow although unlikely it seems.
  8. nah the temps staying cold all week, not even sure Scotland ever going to be out the firing line up until Xmas... a few opportunities in coming days for sure. Keep the faith... absolutely hammering down here now of snow.
  9. actually just looked oot window here at Piperdam 100m asl 5 miles west of Dundee and hammering down of snow and covering the road.
  10. abc..... go and move away.... was Narnia here every winter till u appeared
  11. log on to see 101 enjoying snow...... get yourself to.......... the outside and enjoy it..... really happy for you
  12. Perth refugees can report hee haw here... off to piperdam refugee centre for the weekend where I hope to see some snow showers tomorrow afternoon
  13. this is your year HC.... the year the Snaw returns to our snow starved areas I'm off too Budapest Tuesday...... I just know that those 3 days will be Narnia in Perth
  14. nae chance mate... although through to hibs tonight with the young lass so every chance snaws while I'm not here
  15. gutted to hear about puffy aswell...... the 18z on all sorts of drugs tonight.....all roads remain pointing to cold and with a variety of directions at different times bringing chances of snow with my favourite being the switch to an easterly come late Sunday Monday The snow charts just for fun but like the look of that dammmmmmmmmmmmmm girl
  16. I think this could be one of those great times we get a bit of everything... northerly.... convective easterly... and some lows spinning in against cold air... be perfect to see a longer cold spell that varies the way the snow arrives. Built an igloo aswell but it wasn't a classic.... had little practice at them
  17. @Kirkcaldy Weatherdid some great posts highlighting the possibility of what we are now saying quite a bit of time ago.... hopefully appears soon to put some finesse on the happenings now. Have my weekend at Piperdam next weekend in lodge with hottub.... which will be nice seen as mine off due to leccy costs... be nice to see some snowflakes whilst in it
  18. I try and avoid the Nuggets Particularly the ones that only appear every so often to try and tell you they seen this all coming after disappearing for days when the runs don't say what they predicted. 18z GFS looks good and potentially quite snowy, let's hope the ECM back on board in the morning but either way we look primed for seasonal weather and can only hope its the really snowy type seasonal weather. Nearly bought a new sledge in Costco today for the kids but didn't want to jinx it
  19. and my gas energy bills don't change no matter how cold.... family of cold tatties so heating always on anyway... have saved 20kw a day though on electric by switching off hottub and not using tumble dryer... I'm now surrounded by washing and no warm bubbles to go to and escape it
