  1. Hello

I'm back for the Winter cold and snow watching season, just signed up for a 3 month full subscription to Netweather Extra, my favourite time of year, been browsing the forums for years now but dont know anywhere near enough to confidently join in with the discussion, learnt a lot though, keep up the good work.

I might post more when snow watching is in action :-)

Hello from up the road !! Think I will be doing a three month sub this winter , the extra charts look great ! I too dont tend to post much as my knowledge is that of a keen weather watcher and I am learning things all the time :)

  2. Do you want a job as a moderator? rofl.gif

Yes please, lets stick to what it says on the title of the thread, not that difficult really, is it?

Judging by the GFS 06z ensembles, it may well be more than just a snap, having said that, many may have to wait for their snowfest, understandingly, given the time of year. good.gif 12z runs rolling out right now.

Ha ! It was the bossy boots in me coming out . Looks like thing are really shaping up ! As much as I would love to see some early snow flurries I would settle for some clear bright cold days :)

  3. Maybe this should be the snow watch/winter thread? Obviously we're all going to be looking for the first snowfalls now that the time of year is coming round, it's hard to discuss winter without mentioning some snowy looking charts appearing in the models, but at the same time we can't really discuss the snowy looking charts and their potential in the model thread it seems without taking it over!

    Agree ! good.gif

  4. I'm not joking either it has become a topic of great amusement in the south west thread over the years! I have been skiing for around 8 years and on two occasions when euro was weak for 2weeks and out of all those visits I have never seen it snow while on holiday although I have seen rain on two occasions! even had rain on one of the higher 'snow sure' resorts of the 4 valleys! cray.gif Every severe wintry spell almost in uk when we have had heavy snow has coincided with my skiing! On two occasions my flights back were delayed because bristol airport was closed! mega_shok.gif

That is such bad luck !! I am a skier myself and sell ski holidays as a job , how frustrating! I hope you have better luck this year and get lots of pow whilst you are away but also an epic winter here :)
