    I'm guessing the radar costs NW an awful lot of money. There is a lot on the site that IS free but I certainly wouldn't begrudge a few quid if I was more interested in the forecasting side. A radar that updates every 5 minutes is a damn sight better than one that updates every half hour, if it feels like it, only when there is a 'y' in the month and if it's in the right mood I'm with Virgin too Tommy so maybe it is an issue with them?

    Cos it's a zillion times better and you get what you pay for I guess! The MetO Radar is still stuck at 4pm.

    A flatulent eagle? Doesn't look like anything is going to get this far today so I am keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow.

    Hey N, I had a storm at 2pm about 10 miles west of lincoln. I think it was following the Trent! Was quite impressive. Apparently they also had storms at home which is 5 miles east of lincoln.

    Dangerous stuff Mercury. Only the other day Jessica Fletcher caught out a master forger because the two hundred year old document they tried to fake used whale oil containing mercury. Silly sausage! Another example of The EU blundering in with a big hammer again. I can understand them wanting to reduce mercury pollution etc but it seems very extreme, especially when they are still allowing restricted use anyway.

    I agree. I would never dream of fly-tipping. Nor would anyone I know. I am very happy to re-cycle stuff. One thing I would like to see though is a reduction in packaging. Junk mail must also contribute hugely to waste so nice to see proposals to tackle that.
