    It wasn't exactly a non event was it? We were never expected to get the totals those further east got. I suspect the amber warning we had was just to cover the MO's backside.

    Light snow in Barnsley now. Can't see too much amounting though.

    So we've had pretty much continuous rain in Barnsley for about 12 hours or so, but only in the last 10minutes has it stepped up from moderate rain to heavy rain. Mid afternoon onwards looks the time to watch out for the potential for the real heavy stuff.

    Finally some snow to talk of in Barnsley. Coming down moderately and woke up to 3-4cm on my car this am.

    I agree, by far the best snow event im my (short) lifetime. Missed out completely this winter so far!

    I can now confirm it has stopped snowing all together. The wind chill is bitter though.
