We've had snow on and off all day really, the last band was a bit marginal so although heavy we didn't get any new accumulations. The latest batch going through is settling nicely so the roads are turning fully white again.
That’s good news !!!

That’s it’s stopped here . We are right on the edge of the front hoping the pivot swings it back easy but it’s getting a little marginal with the temp now

Still snowing very fine flakes here . Can hear the dreaded drip drip drip . Hoping to catch some more later as the front pivots who knows what will happen

Just had a look at the radar , it looks like it’s starting to pivot as it hasn’t progressed much further north in the last hour . Any thoughts guys ?

It’s started here but it’s very very wet and tiny flakes but everything white in no time

I can confirm that there is frost on cars and the ground is dry ……. But we should of had an hour or two of precipitation according to radar

Hope everyone in the south stays safe . Storms are pretty normal here our trees and structures are well used to high winds unlike the south . Really hoping it’s not as bad as forecast for you all . Scary times. .

Me by tonight's model runs if things don't get corrected a bit south, quite unbelievable probably about what 75-80% of deep lows that are modelled coming from a similar path trend south nearer to +0hr cmon Eunice there's nice in your name so act it please If we all chip in £10 on the ARPEGGIO can it be the winning conditions
Well mind you going by that one Cumbernauld should get 10 cm

I wouldn't worry (unless it's rain...), if we get something like the chart below as snow, it's at at least 4mm/hr (if the scale is per hr) from 6am'ish until at least lunchtime which is 24cm+ Obviously, it could go north/south, not be as persistent or we may end up in the warmer air, but whoever gets the sweet spot is surely looking at 30cm+ going on the latest charts. Still a while to go until we reach the event though!
This is the short range NMM, the medium range has precip around until 9pm on Friday....
That lies a wee bit too close to Cumbernauld and the wee baldy patch in the middle . We shall see what shall. One of further runs a wee nudge south slightly to play it safe would be great

Just having a wee look through WX weather charts . A wee bit sad snow depth do not look great for central belt a few cms at best going by them
