What a night! I was only 8 years old then and the memories are as clear as ever!
4AM - Sounded like a train heading for our house, one loud ROAR! Infact it scared the hell out of me! The gusts were incredible, I don't ever expect to see such weather again in Suffolk. We had no garden left by 8AM, fences all down, garden trees down, greenhouse windows smashed and blown out, Shed roof on the other side of the estate, TRUELY SEVERE!
Great to read everyone else's Storm '87 stories.

Light snow for 35 minutes now, blowing around in a gusty wind.

Its whiteout in South Suffolk, heaviest snow of the week, only 25 minute shower, but blizzard conditions, everywhere covered.

Been snowing for 25 minutes now, very heavy for 10 minutes. Its left 1 inch on roads, cars, grass, roof, etc.....very wintery scene.

Currently very dark to my North, big clouds! 1 distant rumble of thunder too. Rain looks very heavy.
