  1. What's falling now is what you'd call a Blizzard to a Ant! lol Blob incoming.
  2. Gonna bury my head, and pop back out come friday, were in no man's land! Snowy breakdowns.........Zzzzzzzzzzzzz = A beautiful scene quickly becomes a slushy mess.
  3. This Met Office & BBC 'Sitting on the fence' and the sheer mentioning of real uncertainty explains the 12z collapsing too me. I am not here to doom monger, it's how it is seeing as the model discussion do exactly what I am doing, go on each run as they come about. This roller coaster ride is about as bad as the new one they built at Thorpe Park that made the arms and legs come off of all those dummies! I might be 34 years of age, but this is a crushing blow to our chances. Sorry to be so downbeat. How can the models recover from this??? I will be gob smacked if they turn around to become 'EPIC' again!
  4. Oh dear 12z has killed it! Faint chances dwindling away, the Atlantic is a power house this winter and too beat the biggest and most massive Russian high like it is now, well it speaks volumes. We were looking at a fantastic chance of a true 'Beast', but it's nothing but a damp suib!
  5. http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=charts;type=fax;sess= This would explain a possible snow event across EA & SE to my untrained eye?
  6. I really admire the optimism in here, it's nice to read and for others to look forward to, but honestly, snow tonight? Kent may get a dusting from out of nowhere in all truth. I will say though it looks as though we will see some snow to write home about this weekend with the apparent breakdown.
  7. Must say, if you do sum things up, this has all been overcooked, and it's nothing but a damp squib! After so much promise only a few days ago with snowmaggedon charts, well were ending up with 'Dry' and cold, then dry and very cold! I am a lover of very cold weather and snow! Not just cold and dry! Come on weather, sort it out! It would seem the charts will throw up great looking possibilities only now, and it's a 'nowcast' situation. My view is the Atlantic will make inroads towards the NW and W, not making it enough east before it then receeds and allows the easterly flow to establish itself, and then it will be nothing but pure and utter frustration from then on with hard frosts, fog, mist, and the odd snow flurry!
  8. Have a feeling the charts will turnaround again, and we'll be muttering 'AMAZING' EPIC!' once again very soon!
  9. Got a 70% feeling we may miss out largely in the SE snow wise, and by the time late next week comes, the poxy Atlantic will make inroads and give a messy ending to a cold spell that has all but promised the world! It's just the Met Office are sitting on the fence despite some incredible charts across the board on most occasions, but now as we enter the crucial period where the models give 80%+ confidence, it's wobbling, and that's why the MO have not come off the fence. I hope my doom and gloom gets replaced with renewed optimism because all this chopping and changing in the models with lack of agreement etc, etc, is turning me grey! The other 30% I am hoping fingers crossed we end up with a dusting tonight from the precipitation that is hitting Wales & SW, and then some flurries this week, and by Friday onwards we end up with all sorts of snowy scenarios as the models have clearly indicated.
  10. The current Met Office 6 to 30 day outlook seems to hint at colder conditions to enter the SE with frost evident. I'm sure that will be updated in due course to a more rounded outlook to coincide with what members are picking up on with the charts/models now. At last, something to grasp this winter.
  11. Amazing really, we not long ago had a moderate rain & sleet shower, but looking directly above me in the sky, lots of blowing snow. Snow flakes in amongst the heavier rain. Another heavy shower approaching on the radar. Hoping for a heavy wet snow shower and I think that will be that!
  12. Trying to snow here in Dagenham, but it's giving way to sleet, and more so rain. Wind is light, thought we'd have at least some stronger gusts of 30mph, but far from it! Oh well, NEXT!
  13. Rain band is rushing so fast through, got the feeling by the time there is any chance of colder air to dig down into the rain band, it will be off out too sea and away leaving us in a 230+mph gulf stream push!
  14. Wet snow, mostly rain I would think, it's so, so marginal for the SE. I would suspect places like Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire, & NW London will get some heavy wet snow, and possibly becoming slushy for a time, but in these types of scenarios, I do think many in the SE tomorrow will be largely disappointed. It's Wales and the central belt of England including the midlands where snow will accumulate for definite. Nice to see some flakes in all of London & the SE, but I feel it will be a washout all in all. What do I know!
  15. Heavy Rain approaching on the radar, a big dollop infact! http://www.raintoday.co.uk/ Wind is strong, gusty with light rain currently in Dagenham East.
