Just to affirm Dexter 29 and his views. Last week Mr Ferguson said the met office had dismissed the NAE when it had that area of light snow for last Thursday evening. ......look what happened it the NAE was bang on.....some places got more than 3cms
-
Yes but what about the low level cold air being dragged up from the continent. Surely that would keep temps. Dewpoints.wetbulbs on the right side for snow
-
Around 7cm here in aylesbury.very impressed. Just a pity it wasnt 10 hours of heavy snow.could you imagine that.
-
Snow in aylesbury now heavier than its been since it started at 08.20 my accurate measurement is 3.7 cm
-
Sun out here in aylesbury. That should freeze if sky stays clear.not a bad snowfall at all for the town around 4cm on grass. Would imagine the hills to my east have a lot more.
-
Snow small flakes gaining in intensity temp 0. No drip drip here on close inspection of bushes. in aylesbury.
-
1cm here in aylesbury. Quite dry and powdery too. Temp -1 suprising given the doom of last night.

WTF is a new model only started in operation 4 days ago

Great charts but you can bet had it been a mild outcome the shannon whatever wouldnt be mentioned. Whenever cold and snow is in the mix in the UK bottoms start quivering .im hoping it is a very severe spell of weather just to test the airheads who think 7 degrees is bitterly cold. Big respect to Fergie for the snippets of info. But given the seriousness of what could happen i bet his bosses have told him to give very minimal info.

Maybe the government should have a word with the Chinese authorities and devise a way of getting this Summery spell to last another 2 weeks
-
the usual suspects ie:Lincolnshire AGAIN get all the action , what is it with that county ?
-
very heavy rain falling here now , not far shy of monsoon variety can see blue sky to my W/NW with some very tall CB'S

thinking of moving to Lincolnshire / Humberside as they must be the luckiest areas as usual for storms every sodding year

NAE looks a peach for our area. Just look at them 18 hr precips.going on that alone 20cm plus could happen. Im shocked as i expected the usual downgrade.....
